I say no to the cleanse and water pills, for various reasons. Let your body heal itself. I experienced ridiculous water retention with both of my pregnancies (C-section deliveries). I was told to drink MORE water, and that alone was the suggestion. You will also find that as you move into controlling pain with over the…

Yes, go to a running store. Even if you think, "oh, I am just walking", really you need to be fitted with a good shoe!
-
Rocks work well too. And I would report it.

BOB! I have a double Revolution - it handles great. My 5-year-old is about too tall for it...and can almost handle the 3-mile walk anyway. Still have an 18-month-old needing a ride and will sell the double for a single. I tried three other doubles out in stores before making this choice and it was well worth the $!!

I eat them. We have chickens, so I eat them a lot. Great source of protein and other good stuff.

I walk with a double stroller. The calories on MFP are not accurate, I wear a HRM. MFP may figure that the pace is slower when pushing the stroller. I burn more with them, even if one jumps out to walk!

Though they be costly - we use Pampers and have never had leakage issues....2 little boys. Might try the next size up too. I can usually find a coupon for Pampers and that helps!

Sounds like a sugar crash, not from running. Try eating protein afterwards.

Definitely check out marksdailyapple. While some may balk at "cutting out an entire food group", such as grains, I can say that for me, paleo/primal has been the way to go. 4 months ago, I was working out (P90x and biking), counting calories, and watching the scale creep up. No, it was not muscle. It was my body not being…

I echo the allrecipes.com suggestion. Sign up and you get an email every day with recipe(s). It is free, though a popup comes up for a subscription.

I do trust mine - Polar F4. And, I woud trust yours too. I just burned about 500 calories carrying wood uphill (and then walking back down for more). I did this for a little over an hour, and was in my "zone" for over 50% of the time. Most loads were probably between 20-30 pounds (though they felt like 75 after an hour!).…

Yes....after running a marathon. Physical therapy, LOTS of stretching, ice massage, gait analysis, orthotics and a good pair of running shoes. Be diligent with the treatment and you will be fine. The only time I have any problems with my IT band is when I have not been stretching or when my shoes are worn out.

Yes - you enter age, M/F, height, current weight. Mine has worked well for the past 5 years.
-
Yes - it is GREAT!

Rather than just toss this question out here, yo should search the forums for hCG - there is a group. And no ya'll, I am not in the group, or considering this option. I merely did some reading. Not for me. The group you find will probably be more beneficial to you.
-
Yes I do, all of it except for wet stuff.

Sorry I don't have any pics. I would just like to encourage you though. I finally made it into phase 2 - week 5 and am enjoying this block of workouts a little more, but that might be because of the changeup! If you miss a workout, just catch it the next day. I told my husband that this is called P90X but for me it will…

Boring..... I noticed the one I used to go to is out of business. I had to have a conversation about cancelling my memebership and they started to fight me on it, but then I explained I was moving 2 states away and was going to live in the forest....making it financially difficult to justify driving 40 minutes for their…

I would not let fear of knee pain hold you back from giving this a try. I am just at the end of Week 4. I have knee that just feels kind of weak and a big toe (same side) that gives me fits. I modify what I do not feel capable of doing and have not injured myself yet. You just have to listen to your body, like with any…

better use your heart rate as a gauge than the moisture content of your workout towel.

I have an F4, have had it for 5 years and love it. I have had no problems with it and it does everything I need it to for now.
-
I am curious too, but I think the difference between sites might be the deficit MFP figures in, hence all the hype about eating back the exercise calories. Someone else who is way more articulate and way more knowledgeable will probably explain this better.

Oh my....not judging at all but you made me laugh.

I have had a local battery shop (Batteries+) replace the battery in the watch without batting an eye...since the store I purchased the HRM from would not touch it. I have never had to do anything with the chest strap.
-
I have a Polar F4, and it is about 5 years old now. It works great and I have never had a problem with it. I have used it to track calories burned while walking, jogging, biking, splitting wood, raking, and during various exercise DVDs....even when I used the wii for a warmup! While HRM may not be the best for tracking…

I have created an exercise for myself in the exercise tab - named it DVD workout. I wear a HRM....enter the time and calories burned every day. I also make a note if needed in the "edit note" box.

Oh yoga (on my slate tomorrow). I was told to do at least the first 45 minutes. I am not a big fan, but it has actually helped some soreness and my plank is better than it was 3 weeks ago. As for the calorie burn, that is going to vary...I have a lot of myself to hold up, and I bike for 30 minutes beforehand, I think my…

I cannot answer your question, but I will be sending a friend request. You and I are about in the same boat! I am 43, 5'4.5". I weigh a bit more. I am in the middle of week 3 Lean P90X. I have not seen the scale budge, but I feel stronger and move better already. My husband says he is starting to see a difference. I notice…

I can only speak to P90X at this point...I am in the middle of week 3 of the lean routine (more cardio). The schedule is 6 days of workouts - the 7th being rest or stretching. I also bike for 30 minutes as a warmup. There is weightlifting in this - either with handweights or resistance bands. Probably find for the whole…

Just started Lean Week 3....today is day 2 of that.
