Reading this I just want to say...don't let a label/illness/disease define who you are. I was officially diagnosed 5 years ago and used to have periods where I'd let it bum me out but now I deal with it and continue living. You learn what works for you treatment wise and you draw strength and support from other areas of…

Really? I mean....really? :\

I am a big herbal tea drinker and I do not log them. I don't add artifical sweetner or lemon but even then the calories would be miniscule. When I was younger and had distorted thinking patterns related to food I would count. Something like 2 calories a cup. Now I think it's excessive and just enjoy it instead!

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. Mayo and lemon juice. Simple and amazing. Good quality tuna in oil. Good quality full fat/egg mayo. Freshly squeezed lemon juice. Good quality crusty fresh white bread. Nothing else, not even pepper, salt or marg/butter on the bread. Dreamy.

How old are your children? I would be more concerned with what effect them seeing their mother rocking on the couch for two hours has...

I dislike flavoured yoghurt. I only buy and make plain natural yoghurt. I don't mind plain greek yoghurt either. I have 6kg of Jalna in the fridge right now and I live alone....I love pot set yoghurt, mmmm.

Oh I love mangos! How do you find the skin to taste? Texture? Do you eat it for extra fibre or other reasons? I make sure to eat all the mango flesh off the skin and seed and after weighing just the skin it's usually about 25 grams. I would say the difference in calories is not significant.

I always double check all labelled food products against the label by the per 100g section. If there is a discrepancy, which there usually is, I go by the label on my hands.

Looked at revised plan. Not enough vegetables (5 serves ideal, you only have about 3.5) Not enough fruit (2 serves ideal, you only have 1) Not enough calcium (milk, yoghurt? At this stage you only have a very small amount of highly processed cheese) Red meat? (iron is very important for young women) Variety in diet keeps…

You can also look over at CalorieKing's database. They are Aussie based, hence why I log over there.

Nowadays this information is incorrect. In the third trimester approximately 500 extra calories are recommended.

I'm a big herbal tea drinker and I count them towards my water intake. Green and white teas are not herbal however.

I eat the recommended two serves a day (300g).

Yes it's just soaking, super simple. I believe a lot of people do a combination of milk and yoghurt but I love the consistency of just yoghurt. There are tons of recipes out there that you can play around with and see which way you prefer. I have also tried it with steel cut oats but they don't soften up much so if you…

Where's the fibre? Fibre helps with fullness.

Thank you. Just thank you.

I love overnight oats. 200g yoghurt and 30g raw rolled oats mixed together the night before, pop in the fridge and ready to eat with no prep in the morning. It's about 230 cals. I usually add a mashed banana and cocoa powder in it but can just add cinnamon for extra taste with minimal calories. It's also good with PB,…

Do not take iron medication without a blood test first and discussions with your doctor. It is uncommon for men to have issues with iron, it can happen but it needs to be diagnosed first. Too much iron is not a good thing and can make you ill. How are you physically feeling? If you're just focusing on numbers from logging…

I stopped drinking alcohol nearly 3 weeks ago and I had not one non drinking friend until recently. The support they can give you really helps. My entire social life revolved around drinks so the first time I went out to an event sober...it was a huge adjustment. It was uncomfortable and I just wanted to leave and go home…

I just joined MFP (lurker) to post what independant2406 said so +1 to that. I hit at least 25g a day but I try not to go over 30g as I have low iron stores. Next bloodwork is tomorrow so fingers crossed I can come off my medication!
