calories in fruit skin

Ok, I've tried finding the appropriate entry in the database, I've googled it, I've searched the forums, but I can't find the nutritional facts... I eat mangos with the skin, but all the entries are for mangos without it. I'm wondering is the amount of calories between a peeled mango and one with the skin would be a huge difference?

The USDA Food List only has mangos, raw. If compared to apples with and without skin, the difference in apples is 4 kcal/100g or 4%. I think the difference in Calories is negligible unless you plan on eating 1000+ grams in one day!
09176, Mangos, raw 60 kcal/100g ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/2318
09003, Apples, raw, with skin 52kcal/100g ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/2171
09004, Apples, raw, without skin 48kcal/100g ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/21720 -
Oh I love mangos! How do you find the skin to taste? Texture? Do you eat it for extra fibre or other reasons? I make sure to eat all the mango flesh off the skin and seed and after weighing just the skin it's usually about 25 grams. I would say the difference in calories is not significant.0

The concern with fruit skin, for me, is insecticide content, not calories.0

I like to use this site. If you search on Mango, it will show Without Refuse in addition to Whole. http://nutritiondata.self.com0
