I'd try it out of curiosity; but my common sense wouldn't let me order it - nothing good came come that!

Rather I'm using MFP Fitbit or any other type of device or equipment I always decrease by 20-25% to adjust for error. And, I do not try to eat back my calories I worked hard to burn.

Everyday, sometimes twice a day... especially after a good long run/workout I like to see that number drop!

I have very lean, muscular calves or I should say legs in general... from running, tennis, elliptical trainers and all the other sports I play including weight training. I have the same exact issue with boots - so I buy the wide shaft, skinny jeans - some fit, some don't. However, my personal style solution - wear a dress,…

It's been an ever evolving process... original goal was 150 and that has changed three times as I am basically in "maintenance mode" but would like to lose an additional 5 lbs and tone up my muscles. What I don't want to do is lose focus or get too lax in maintaining. I'm loving my current weight! On another note, when I…

Yep! fat is stored everywhere head to toe... lose the fat, lose the weight, lose the inches!

What works for me is "no cheat" days. I don't understand planning to purposefully cheat. Put a game plan in place and plan to stick to it is my strategy. What I envision is one cheat day spiraling out of control into two days, a week, a month - you get the picture. I'm in this to WIN this and cheaters NEVER win!

Hmmm... our dept (not company sponsored) did a biggest loser from Jan-May for 4 years in a row - each year people would lose and some went over the top to get to the monthly payout and then the final prize - with the exception of 1 (me) no one kept the weight off. I was surprised as I thought everyone was in it for similar…

Yes, my doctor is awesome. We discuss everything, plus years ago I read having an open dialogue with your doc was critical. So I tend to yammer on about everything and he's listening and logging it on his computer and he'll follow-up on my next visit. I also do "mychart" which is a website that he had me sign-up for that…

I've no children so I cannot relate to your specific guilty feeling; however I too have made working out a priority - rather I'm at the gym, running, biking etc. I've passed or arrived an hour later on a few girl's nights and other events just so I could get in a workout. I feel a little tinge of guilt, as I could have…

I've been running for 20+ yrs and and have never experienced any specific taste in my mouth related to running/cardio exercise.

I was just had this conversation in my head yesterday- I'm down 25lbs+ I've pretty much lost all over and I am totally loving what I see!!! But I had to chuckle because I am really a mini version of the old me - apple shape and my problem area is still my belly. Yep, nice curves and yet I still look at my belly and sigh,…

All you need to do is put a little in the microwave and pour it on; if you're a microwave free type person it may take a little more effort.

I say do what makes you happy. I personally like men in earring(s) at any age... but I will say this, not everyone can rock that style - so whatever you decide to do "own it" otherwise you're just a wannbe.

Cheat day for me is a slippery slope at this point of my path, so I eliminated them (perhaps) for good and let is happen naturally. Meaning, if I really want it, I eat it and adjust. However, my weakness is salty, crunchy snacks. Hmm, just saying it makes my mouth sluuuurp!
-
I secretly wish someone had a cattle prod or perhaps Cesar Millan (from Animal Planet) was nearby me when I'm craving salty snack...seriously I could use the distraction technique. When I'm craving I am so focused all I need is distraction reminder!!!

I'm a southern belle

My two cents (theory only)... I'd say TIME. If you get the results you want doing weights you will more than likely spend a great deal of your workout time doing exactly that and vice versa. Therefore, I get the results I want doing mainly cardio; so I spend the majority of my workout time doing cardio and I squeeze in…

TimothyFish I get it, I posted a comment recently stating the exact thing on a "velvetta" ad. The suggestion to get adblock plus - OK, I get that too; but the point being one would assume a "fitness" site would have ads more geared towards that as that would be audience on this site.

I purposefully locked mine for no other reason than I wanted it private. I don't think I ever looked at any ones food or exercise diary simply because I have no interest. I use MFP for tracking my own habits to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to encourage and motivate others.

I'm 51, recently lost 35 with 10 to go. Happy to support as I'm entering "maintenance" mode or I should say lifestyle change. Add me.. Good luck!

It's 3:50PM where I am and I've been up since 2:30A so I'm feeling a little wretch! So this is a B! list... I hate that I sit next to two loud chronic complainers - STFU! I hate that this site is loaded with unhealthy advertisements - Velvetta - shut it down! I stop for coffee every morning at the same place - refill $1-…

@faelight just realized we are just a day away from the end of this challenge you posted on Jan 21 - time flies!!!

I'm in! 5 lbs would be within my "wiggle" room; but 10 would be absolute goal.
-
I'm 5'2" GW 120. My original goal was 140, then I saw the results and felt healthy and moved goal to 130 CW... I may end up being one of "those" people who always have 10 more to lose. However, I would love a closet of only 2 sizes instead of the current 5 sizes I have now.

This is not a solution; but just a funny story. I've been running for years and when I get that side cramp I tell myself that it was fat breaking away - the mind games we play! Fortunately, it's not often and doesn't last long.
-
How much anxiety I am having about maintaining my goal. I've only seriously lost weight before one other time in my life - like 20 lbs; but I gained that back and then some so this time around I had much more to lose and I only recently reached goal again. However, at 51 I cannot imagine me going through this process again…

Congrats & thanks for the inspiration!

I feel so awesome after my workouts; there is no way I would skip feeling that way on my birthday... and if you're doing it in the AM, it will add a little pep in your step ALL day!!!!
