I would love to be able to eat 3 large meals a day. I am barely losing on one small meal (a snack really) and one large meal. See your comment in bold above, if you are barely losing not tracking is probably your biggest issue, not the amount of times you eat.
-
Chronic under eating is one way, though since you dont track i assume that is the reason you are not losing weight.
-
YOU ARE SO WRONG IT HURTS!!!!!
-
Then you are doing something wrong (tracking incorrectly) or have done metabolic damage.
-
LOVE THIS! Great share!

I prefer 3 squares. It's better for me, since it allows me to listen to my actual hunger cues and allows me to have big, satisfying meals. But really, it's whatever floats your boat.

YES!

@lisac195 I'm 5'1, work a office/desk job and eat 1800 calories (more if i'm working out hard) and still lose weight at a rate of 0.5-2lbs per week (many factors attribute to weight loss on the scale-ex hormones). It's all about what you choose to eat. No matter what, being on a 1200 calorie diet requires excellent…

It's pretty much the bare minimum required to remain healthy, there is no room in a 1200 calorie diet for indulgences EVERYTHING you eat should provide you essential nutrients or you will end up being deficient. 1200 is a *magic* number propagated by a lot of marketing and nonsense. Eat real food, be active, easy.

the best exercise is the one you actually do.
-
@GlindaGoodwitch Ask for a dietitian, they are generally better educated then nutritionists (which are far less regulated and don't have a governing body over seeing them)
-
Enh, we all have out moments
-
1- 1200, is probably not enough. 2- if you are going over your proteins and fats, i wouldn't worry about it, the app is a suggestions not a law, especially if you are using the ridiculous default macro breakdown.
-
This is your problem, not theirs.
-
That's included in the algorithm for calorie allotment, only add calories burned through deliberate exercise (ex: going for a run, lifting weights etc). Do not attempt to include these, as you would be essentially doubling your required calories
-
1- Patience, things take time. 2- are you tracking accurately (is your goal set correctly, are you over estimating calories burned, underestimating calories consumed?) 3- are you eating the right foods. Also with so little weight to lose, 1lb a weeks is very ambitious and not really realistic. When you are so close to…

ummm eat? You either not eating enough, or you aren't making the right choices in foods.

Learn to love real food is the number one thing anyone can do for their health in my opinion. Focus on planning and making your meals yourself, focus on getting your veggies (fresh if possible), lots of healthy fat and lean proteins. Also drink lots of water and switch to clear tea instead of that snapple if you can (saves…

I've looked at it, i would recommend cutting down on the take away/packaged food and focus more on healthy fats/proteins and lots of vegetables, but that's just my opinion. Do what works for you...
-
you should think about adding more fat! Add avocado, nuts/seeds, full fat Greek yogurt. Also you should work on increasing your intake overall, your diet makes me hungry just looking at it. My days are something like this... along with clear tea, black coffee and loads of water. Breakfast 2-3 eggs scrambled with vegetables…

If you don't eat enough calories, you do not fuel your machine (body), malnourished bodies don't tend to succeed at doing very much. The better you eat, the better you feel the more you do. It's not really about "more", but rather "better", and when you eat "better" calories (ie: real food, low in sugar) you can still lose…
-
Fiber and water, you probably aren't getting enough. You should however see a doctor if this persists? Do you have a free clinic or a free phone line you can call for advice! I'm Canadian so i'm not sure what you have available where you are...
-
Seriously, if you are pre-diabetic what you are eating according to your diary is only making it worse. Book an appointment with your doctor discuss what is happening and change your diet, vegetables, lean protein, whole grains, full fat dairy, nuts and seeds, etc...
-
I really hope so. Really committed to the gag.
-
Looking at your food diary, you aren't eating nearly enough protein (min 80g) and not enough fat to be a healthy low carb diet. Today you tracked a caramel coffee drink (sugar and carb), potato soup and had a potato with your steak for dinner. You aren't eating enough vegetables and if this is representative of your daily…
-
You need carbs for quick burst energy, Do you eat enough fat and protein. Low carb and low fat together are disaster waiting to happen!
-
You'd be surprised.
-
AGHHH! No fat does not weigh more then muscle!!! This myth needs to end. 1lb is 1lb. Muscle is denser, which means it takes up less space then a pound of fat.
-
Eating less then 1200 is a bad idea, Also what kinds of foods are you eating? Are you weighing/measuring? Are you tracking everything honestly (ex: cream in your coffee, sugar in your tea etc...)
-
oh that's interesting...hmmm.....
