what do I do about being crabby because I feel hungry? I snapped at my boyfriend and cried a little because I still felt hungry after dinner

Hi
It's all about balance. I have learned that I need to make sure I spread my calories out and not to peak too early. If I have exercise calories I aim to only eat half back but I know I have them as a buffer if I want them. I also make sure I have some left for an evening snack to watch in front of the TV when my husband has his nightly ice cream and crisps fest! I cant see your diary so I'm not sure how many calories you are aiming to eat in a day. I have found that there are some things that I can happily do without in order to make sure I have enough for my evening snack. I might not have butter n my sandwich or put less cheese in my omelette or have my coffee black instead of with milk, or use sweetener instead of sugar. It's not about doing without, its about your priorities. I would say if you're snapping and crying, you need a snack!
If you are totally out of calories you could always go for a walk, that's what I do when I'm desperate for an in ice cream sandwich!
I should add - make sure you've hit your macros for the day (eaten enough fat, protein and carbs). Don't be snacking on 'goodies' if you haven't had a balanced diet. Yesterday I was low on my protein and ended up snacking on ham - its not as much fun as ice cream!0 -
ummm eat? You either not eating enough, or you aren't making the right choices in foods.0

I don't understand how you've found a good balance if you're so hungry that you're 'hangry'.
Either you need to make different food choices so that you can eat a greater volume of food and still stay within your calorie limit, or you need to change the timing of your calorie allotment distribution, or you need to take a less aggressive approach to weight loss (if you are set to lose 2 lbs per week, change it to 1 or 1.5).
No need to be hungry, or crabby.0 -

This!
I'm still hungry a lot though, but it's because I like having my 200 calories of sweets a day...0
