Awesome corner flumi!

Congrats!! You look amazing and it's inspiring. I'm a bit shorter at 5'2" and also started at 152lb. I'm 5 weeks into my seriousness and looking to lose 20lb as my first goal :) how long did it take you to get to yours?
-
I feel your pain! I'm 5'2" and started at 152.5lbs - have been logging for over a month and I feel like it's been slow (now at 148.5, so about .5lb/week). I started with 1200cals/day (with exercise and eating back half the calories), did that for 3 weeks and I felt like it actually moved slower. Then I switched to 5:2…

impromptu fast day! It's 4:30pm and I haven't eaten anything yet today so might as well make it a fast day! getting the 2nd one of the week out of the way, or I might even do 3 in one week. woo hoo!

and a Canadian here ;)

thanks again for your input! yeah you nailed it - i'm 5'2" and 150ish lbs, trying to lose 30-35. 1500 is not too difficult as I don't mind skipping breakfast. Lately I have been eating it just to meet the goal for the day. We'll see what happens if I decrease my calories!

Weighed in this morning after yesterday's fast. A little disappointed that scale hasn't gone down some more - but also more motivation to work harder. I'm at a 36 day streak with MFP. I started with 1200 cals/day and after 3 weeks, reading into 5:2 I decided to switch to that. This is my 3rd week of 5:2 and I've only lost…

yes that makes a lot of sense for a Monday. today's my fast day and we'll see tomorrow! thanks for your insight :)
-
@foamroller thank you for posting - so inspiring! I am around that SW and your CW is my first goal weight, so I loved reading your story. Question for everyone... I sometimes weigh myself throughout the week (I know... I try to keep it to once a week but it's just right there!). The number is usually up from the lowest #…

Will be so interesting to see your results. Fast day tomorrow - happy week everyone!

I'm still relatively new to the 5:2ing (2 weeks in) and yesterday was a fast day for me. I usually look forward to the next day because I feel so unbloated and slimmer (and obviously because I can eat more!) but today I woke up feeling bloated which was odd! Did not feel good. Looking forward to Monday's fast.

Interesting!!

Tomorrow's a fast day for me too! Let's do it!!! Happy belated! :)
-
curious - why do you this? (i'm just imagining someone sitting there eating spoonfuls of olive oil! lol)
-
Cheering on everyone for their second fast day! Mine is tomorrow. @maphammonds I eat a little below TDEE as well at ~1700. It's been working OK for me!
-
In the same boat - so inspiring!
-
First fast day of the week down! Woo hoo!
-
Amazing job! How long did it take you to get where you are today? I'm similar to you, 5'2" and started at 152 (my heaviest as well).
-
Thanks for the warm welcome! :)

I've read a bunch of posts on MFP about eating back calories from exercise and the consensus I see is to eat back half of the calories burned. So I still net about 1100-1200 calories a day. I'm not sure where from my post I said I was eating back calories for dessert or drinks?
-
When did everyone start seeing results? I know I need to be patient but I've been doing ~1200cal for about 3 weeks and haven't seen anything. I've been working out and eating half my calories back. Wondering if I should start considering changing something. (i'm 5'2" 24yo female)

I downloaded a few to try, so far Fitocracy is my favourite.

Drinking was a huge part of my social life as well, so cutting out drinking has minimized my social life lol what I've decided to do was reward myself with a night out for ever 5lbs I lose. I've been sticking to it and it feels great!
-
Haha - well good thing I asked for feedback before I did get 3-4 weeks in. I'll be rethinking the plan now. Hmm, OK - maybe my classes aren't completely strength training. Did you take those classes in addition to your own strength training program?
-
Haha re: social life. I'm currently between jobs and decided to focus on fitness while I have so much time during the day. Thanks all for the feedback. Although I just wanted to point out though that the classes I go to are not so cardio based but using weights and muscle strengthening.

Oh forgot to add, I'm currently in the first week of this plan, with slight tweaks due to other plans, but more or less the same - and so far so good (except today I'm feeling lazy!)
