Absolutely take a rest day or two when you have worked hard, I think sometimes people can underestimate the power of resting. I usually work out 5 days, rest 2 (not back to back, rest days usually a Wednesday and Friday) but sometimes I'll take one workout day easier than another. For example I was at a race yesterday so…

600 for the mini pizza but I always want the larger version which is 1080! ;) If I'm looking for something pre-made I tend to gravitate towards the "healthy" packaged items first which narrows the search down in the shop, most supermarkets have their healthier range grouped together looking fairly obvious (for example look…

I wouldn't be dropping any more calories until you start weighing everything as it's possible you are eating more calories than you think. Do you eat back exercise calories?

I did Paleo for a while a couple of years ago and Whole30 once, I would recommend this website for recipe ideas, just thought I would share: http://stalkerville.net/diet/whole30/

That's the best, most delicious bit but aside from that, I would just log the bacon and accept the small calorie hit - in the big scheme of things it probably balances out, especially over a week. For example, I don't log my walk to/from the bus stop to work (about 20 minutes in total) to allow for some logging…

I eat the chocolate but like others, try to stick to a "mini" version or a couple of squares. I find that if I try to replace it with something else I end up having the chocolate anyway which kind of defeats the point!

So glad it's not just me!

I would find weight loss a lot easier if it wasn't for chocolate and feeling a requirement to eat something sweet after a meal (particularly lunch and dinner). Yes most of the time I just fit them into my CICO deficit but I almost always want to eat more than I should be and persuading myself out of eating more is quite a…

I think that's your body telling you to skip the cheat day or as someone else mentioned, take it down to a cheat meal that way you aren't loading your body unnecessarily with junk it doesn't want

I eat pizza fortnightly, chocolate almost every day, other "treats" throughout the week, I just fit them into my calorie intake. Personally, if I had a "cheat" day or meal I would feel like I was severely restricting myself during the week which would quite frankly make me miserable. I have learnt to have smaller portions…

Exactly this, something like the recipe below: https://iquitsugar.com/recipe/kung-flu-fighting-chicken-soup/

I always look at weekly calorie averages rather than daily as my appetite can change quite drastically some days I'm ravenous and other days can control my intake easier.

As others have said, I tend to run light with keys in a zipped pocket in my trousers or an SPI belt (stretches over your belongings) if I want to carry my phone. I made the mistake once of putting my car key in a non-zipped pocket on a night run, it worked its way out of my pocket silently and I lost it for two months!…

I don't do 5:2 anymore but I still sometimes use the recipes, I always find myself on this website http://www.lavenderandlovage.com/category/posts/general/5-2-diet

I'm bonnie Scotland too, I've lost 33 pounds (just over 2 stone) and have about 11 (just under 1 stone) to go

Thank you, I guess I've been fortunate in that I didn't have an end date in mind as in a wedding day or some event when I had to be a certain weight at a certain time, that took the frustration out of the weeks I didn't lose, I would just think I'd eat a bit less or move a bit more the next week. I was also never going to…

I'm in Scotland, started at just over 12 stone (77kg) now at 9 stone 3/4 (62kg), aiming for 9 stone flat (57kg) so around 11 pounds to go. I've just logged my 398th consecutive day on mfp, recently maintained 10 stone for around 4 months (that was my original goal!). Would definitely echo what the others have said about…

I use this recipe to make homemade mayo, literally egg/oil/lemon blend for twenty seconds and you have enough to last a week! You could sub the olive oil for avocado oil... http://thehealthyfoodie.com/fail-proof-home-made-paleo-mayo-whole30-compliant/

Personally I just have a banana, some almonds or just water, as I primarily run and find running on any kind of full stomach very uncomfortable. That might be just me though!

These look good, must try once my oven is working again!

BBC Good Food website has some nice soup recipes, most are pretty easy and quick - I like their leek and potato soup which is so cheap to make! I also used their Jambalaya recipe last night, doubled the ingredients and made 8 portions which the other half and I have for lunch or dinner. Both dishes also freeze well, just…

I have a desk job so I set my activity to sedentary and then log my workouts separately, do you do something similar? Are you eating any particularly salty foods that could cause you to hold water weight? Are you eating back the exercise calories?

Loving those pictures CollieFit, yumyum!

I just have to say that green pepper looks so lonely in a sea of bland!

Today I'm having peppered salmon flakes with pea shoots, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and spinach. Other things I have are homemade soup with a few ricecakes, leftover dinner from the night before, wraps (I buy mini/kids wraps that are only 99 cals and stuff them full of veggies/ham). Sometimes I'll cook a big batch of…

I bought one of those pull-up bars for the door frame and would literally just try to do one when I walked passed. When I first started all I could do was hang there like a monkey and move a tiny bit. Now I can do at least one full one but did get up to about five. I did the same with pushups, just kept trying until one…

The first pair of running shoes I bought, I went to a local running shop for the whole gait analysis/fit etc and they were super helpful. I have to say of course I considered buying the same shoes for £10-£20 cheaper online but after all that time they spent with me, helping me out, I would honestly have felt terrible…

This is what I do too, literally 1 banana and two eggs, though I don't have a blender so I mash the banana, stir in the eggs and fry them up with a little ghee, always come out tasting/looking like pancakes and not eggy at all. Gotta love a healthy alternative that actually tastes amazing! :)

I'm on 1440 calories and I eat chocolate every single day, I just make it fit in. Quite often it's a "mini" version of something, like those two finger kitkats instead of four!

I did not know that.
