McDonald's ice cream and chips combo is always a winner in my book. I am a big fan of the sweet/salty combo in general. My OH will only have his plain French Toast with Ketchup. Apparently that's normal for him and I'm the weird one for having maple syrup!

I get a bit like this, though I can feel full, I always feel like I could "squeeze" something else in and have to mentally tell myself it's not needed. I think it can be about learning the difference between wanting to feel so stuffed you could burst and feeling satisfied that your body has had enough food to last a good…

Well done! I'm on Day 799 so can definitely vouch for slow and steady ;)

I read somewhere to only count caffeinated drinks as half the amount because they are a diuretic.

For me I crave the fizz rather than the flavour so just have sparkling water, not sure if that would be an option for you.

For me it was when someone asked what my weight was in a public setting (horse riding stables, in front of staff and other customers) and then proceeded to make a fairly big deal about potentially being too overweight for the horse. At that point I had been unhappy about my weight gain for some time but was also trapped in…

I usually have two rest days a week but this still includes 3+ miles of reasonably slow walking (not breaking a sweat). Sometimes I will have more though if I am feeling unwell or injured or too busy at work, I try to listen to my body as much as I can (my physical body and not my lazy mind which would quite happily sit on…

I use one banana, two eggs, cinnamon and some ghee in the pan. I spoon out to 5/6 small thick "pancakes", these make it easier to flip. I mash the banana then stir in the egg, found that overmixing spoiled the texture as the banana chunks help keep the pancake thick. Have tried adding different flours before but to be…

I have at least two rest days a week normally Tues and Fri but I still walk at least 2.5 miles on those days (as that's my commute for work). I think there's a difference between your body hurting and your mind just trying to convince you not to go out so I try to listen to my body rather than my head! If I can feel a…

Personally I would just get a fairly simple burger and enjoy it, especially if it's a one off treat that you don't do very often. Maybe just do an extra workout or eat a little less the next day to balance out. That might be just me though I find if I completely deprive myself I end up caving more in the long run.

http://stalkerville.net/ has some good recipes

I have a Ronhill headband and glove set, they aren't the thickest material but enough just to take the chill out and not too warm that I can still keep them on after I've warmed up.
-
I use a garmin watch to log my runs but I used to just use the MapMyRun which automatically syncs to MFP

Personally I don't like having headphones in at all (walking or running) so don't listen to anything ever. Having said that, all of my runs are outside and 90% are on trails so from a visual perspective I guess they are much more interesting than a treadmill!

Might sound daft but I was surprised how much salt and pepper makes a salad taste better! Also balsamic vinegar and maybe just mixing up some new toppings - a few almonds or some seeds or some chopped apple/strawberry

Please go speak to a doctor about this.

I weigh on a Saturday in the morning before eating/drinking anything. I tried weighing every day for a while but found that the small daily fluctuations were stressing me out. I also tend to track calories over a week rather than daily i.e. Monday I might be over 300 cals then Tuesday I'll be under, so weighing weekly…

Yeah I was going to say, I just buy super high waist jeans which fixes the problem :D

Cucumber, celery or 1 cal mints

You mentioned above about knowing how many calories you burn doing workout videos, the Fitness Blender ones have a little calorie counter on them so you get a rough idea

Salt and pepper needs more credit, I got really bored with my bland raw veggies until someone pointed out the obvious of them just needing a good sprinkling of S+P and boy did it make a difference! My second favourite is a raspberry balsamic vinegar which is really good on leafy salads.

I think you definitely need to experiment with different food combinations for your own tastes and see what you like, there's honestly no point in eating foods that you don't enjoy! Though, I do think your tastebuds adjust to new flavours. I have definitely got used to a few changes such as not salting my food, adding less…

This but would also add in protein bars, something dense like a Quest bar or flapjack really fills me up.

Me too, I've lost 30 pounds and have 7 to go, those these last pounds are proving hard to shift! Good luck!
-
Yeah pretty much all of this!

Bacon is totally worth it :D

Ate pizza yesterday, ran 13 miles today, it's all about balance

This but also there's days I've felt really tired but gone out for a run anyway and I've actually felt better/more energised afterwards.

Hello all, I'm 5'4 and have already lost 35lbs, got about 10 to go, I just wanted to say YOU CAN DO IT!! :)

I avoid buying large/"share" sized bags of anything - crisps (UK), chocolate, bread, biscuits etc as I still struggle with willpower and find myself eating everything in the bag, whatever size it is.
