Here are some immediate thoughts I have for you. Yes, losing weight (and more importantly, maintaining that loss!) is critically important. And yes, I have seen people with morbid, long-term obesity maintain weight loss. Here are some things to think about: 1. You say you are doing keto right now. Have you always done…

"Just recently lost"...any super lower calorie diet will help you lose weight, but that's not going to stay off unless root causes are addressed. Optivia, and other fads like it, are not going to help that.

This is going to sound harsh. I mean it gently and in love. Optavia (and whatever other silly fads there are) might work for the short term, but there is very little possibility that you'll keep weight off in long-term with a product/system whatever you want to call it. Look, I'll be real with you with. We're here because…

There is no way any of that clocks in under 600 calories.

I'm guilty with cheese, and I should be because cheese is so calorie dense!

There's no way you are burning 200 calories per hour just by sitting or standing. That would mean that you would be burning 4,800 calories per day.

Coffee can have a lot of caffeine, which stimulates appetite for some people. That could be the reason.

No, it is not as simple as keeping it to 20-25 net carbs per day. Keep a real calorie deficit and you will lose weight. Most people who do Atkins or some other extremely restrictive diet lose weight quickly and pile it all back on later. Learn about nutrient dense real food and eat those in moderation. Weigh your food and…

Nobody is going to have long-term success with it for lots of reasons. First of all, most people won't feel full without having something to chew and shakes just aren't going to cut it. Second, those shakes are packed with chemicals. I don't necessarily have a problem with the occasional protein shake, but your body is…

This is terrible advice. OP is looking for solid tactics and strategies, not chastisement. You sound like a jerk.

Me too! It is so much tastier that way. Gives a little extra texture.

I've a big fan of avocado toast with one fried egg on top. I use bread that is 45 calories per slice, fresh avocado that is mashed, and egg fried in a few teaspoons of oil. Salt, pepper, sometimes garlic and sesame seeds. It keeps me going from 7:30 until pretty much noon.

Two things to think about here: 1) Unless you are pretty petite, 1200 calories isn't going to cut it and will probably be too low to let your body do good things for itself, and 2) Low carb/Keto is not a magic bullet weight loss. If you are not creating a calorie deficit, you are not going to lose weight. Your best bet is…

I have a sister whom I am close to, but we are ten years apart in age. She's my big sister, and I've always looked up to her. We've both always been big girls, and last year, Sarah made the choice to take control of her health and lost 75ish pounds. She looks amazing and feels amazing. Sarah offered me her old jeans, and I…

A couple of thoughts for you. First, as I was looking through your diary, it looks like you've been well above 1,400 for a while. Second, it looks like you rely a lot on fast food for your meals. Your body probably isn't getting the nutrients it needs and because their is so much salt and so many carbs, your body is…

I had GD, and unless your doctor tells you otherwise, you shouldn't be concerned with your fat intake. If you need to gain weight and are already reducing a macro like carbohydrates, you need to replace those calories from somewhere. Good fats like avocados and nut butters are the fastest way to do it. FAT does not…

Only eating 1200 calories might be too low for you. There are lots of people who put on weight when they are eating too little. Also, have you looked at the macros you are consuming? Many people with thyroid issues thrive on lower-carb diets. Also, don't give up after 8 days. You need to have grit and perseverance to see…
