@dawnbgethealthy I love the patchwork quilt!

@Imlmrn I like dipping chicken in hot sauce so I get the sweet and sour. Congrats on all of the progress you have made. It helps me to know that someone who drank several drinks at night could cut back so much. I was where you were about 10 years ago. These days it's usually 3 (sometimes 4) and I am trying to cut the…

Better health, lose weight, better sleep, more energy to do new things…

@MissMay thanks for the startup! I made some minor progress last month and want to keep it going. @lmlmrn how did the nuggets turn out?
-
@MissMay have a wonderful trip! Enjoy the concert and everything else. We'll all be here when you get back!

I thought about trying stitch fix but since menopause have carried belly weight that makes lots of styles challenging. I need to get rid of the weight but thyroid issues have made it hard. Too many excuses! AF last night for the first time in a while. Did not sleep great but still feel better than when I have drinks…Hope…

After slightly smaller drinks on Fri and Sat had a bit extra last night and what a difference. It's amazing how it affects my sleep/anxiety level. Back to my plan of reducing the portions! Hope everyone has a good week.

Thanks for the thread @MissMay. Happy to start a new month here. My goal is to reduce my drink portions and work some AF days into the mix this month. I would not want to pay the extra $$ for unlimited food and drink either. I would either feel like I should get my money's worth or like I wasted a lot of money. Good plan…

Good morning! Happy to leave February behind. Thanks for starting the thread as always @MissMay. It is starting to feel like spring and it seems like a good time to start fresh.
-
@Turtlemummy so sorry to hear your daughter has covid. I hope she recovers quickly. Glad you were able to limit the damage.

Sorry, messed that quoting thing up. @Womona I found out they renamed Cutback Coach to sunnyside.co. I did a free trial a while back. They have you establish goals then send you texts to encourage you to reach your goals. Free trial then 79 per year. Not sure it would work for me long term. I will check out the Drink…

@jonsek what an adorable family! 3 great reasons to take care of yourself. After an AF day Monday had more than planned last night. It's getting old. New day today so moving on. Does anyone have a favorite app to track drinks? Has anyone tried cutback coach?

@Fit_Happens_2021 I agree that we are quite removed from death, and I do think it makes it more frightening. I am 63 so hearing that folks my age are dying does make me pause, and also make me want to get more out of whatever time I have left. Had a rare AF night last night. Suggested to my husband that we skip cocktail…

@MissMay that is a very pretty tree!

Thanks for the December startup @MissMay. November was not a great month for me so anxious to move on from that and make December a better one!
-
Good Monday morning. I am having a bit of trouble getting used to the new format. I feel like the site is blinding with the stark white background. Making just a bit of progress here with a few AF days in November and several days where I reduced the size of my drink and definitely noticed a difference in terms of sleep,…

Had an AF night last night and did not wake up at 3am with the usual anxiety. Woke up for a bit but not full of dread. Had an AF night last week because of a family member hospitalization/death. Thought about a drink when I got home at 2am that morning but went to bed instead. Seeking to sprinkle in some AF days and reduce…

@MissMay yes, a Maine Coon. His name was Simcha and we lost him in 2018 from cancer. We have 2 new Maine Coon kittens, actually almost cats because they are 10 months old, but the breed grows slowly. One day I will update my pix! @globalhiker thanks for taking the time to detail your journey. It really is helpful…

Hi @langstontl welcome to the thread. It is a very supportive place to check in.
-
@dawnbgethealthy I am amazed how you can balance all of the different jobs - you must be a great multitasker. @globalhiker congrats on the new job! It sounds like you are in a really good place. Good job on the reset @Womona, hi to @AR10at50 and @MissMay, and @CMB44512 and everyone else.
-
Glad to see you back @chocolate_owl and even happier that you are doing better. Your closet sounds amazing.
-
@dawnbgethealthy congrats on 6 days, that must feel awesome. @globalhiker i read something about red wine and darker spirits like bourbon causing more side effects than white wine and clear spirits. Can’t remember the source.
-
@globalhiker thanks, it's 3 now! I know it's really a choice to be AF. I have been listening to some of Rachel Hart's podcasts and one thing she says is that the commitment to be AF is not so much the commitment to say no, but the commitment to be uncomfortable when you do say no. That resonates with me because when I…

@Womona I totally get the hormonal troubles. I started having hot flashes at 47 but did not go into menopause until 55. At 62 they have decreased greatly but I am sure my eating (too many carbs) and drinking made things much worse instead of better. Hang in there. I have started to listen to podcasts by a company called…

@MissMay good job choosing painting over mimosas and remaining AF. I also did, for a third night. Full disclosure, I am going to see my primary doc for the first time in almost 2 years next week and I am sure she will order bloodwork. My bloodwork has always been fine but I do worry about the effect of all the pandemic…
-
Happy Anniversary @lmlmrn. Sounds like a fun getaway @globalhiker. I had 2 AF days, Wednesday and Thursday. These are the first AF days I have had since the pandemic began. Reading this thread inspired me to give it a try. I slept fine the first night but poorly last night. I think that was more because my dog's tummy was…
-
@chocolate_owl is there any way you could reach out to your primary care doc sooner? Hate to think of you having those scary thoughts without having someone to discuss with.
-
Wow @MissMay that is really pretty! Love the colors and the movement.

@Lilylady3k 30 lbs is awesome, great work! Your dedication is definitely paying off.
