Yeah, weird, weird, weird rabbit trail eric started this discussion down. So not helpful to the poor OP. The guy needs to eat more. Timing doesn't matter.

Meh. I don't make a point of announcing my goals just for the sake of doing so, but if a subject comes up about something I'm already working on, I might mention it.

I had such plans. I still do, but need to modify them after doing some major foot damage running into a piece of furniture. I wonder how many calories I burn limping at a brisk pace? As for my plans for the holiday? I'm going to eat at maintenance and enjoy. I don't like feeling over full, so I know I won't go crazy with…

Ur nOt mAkInG mAd GaInZ, bRo, eL Oh, El. SiLly NoOb! Was that obnoxious enough? Except I've never seen anyone do that.

That's all well and fine, but there are only so many ways to say it. Frankly, I've not seen evidence for there being "obnoxiousness" in the past, and how the concept of "obnoxiousness even got introduced into the conversation is beyond me. Can we please not have yet another thread derailed with dem feelz? This is good,…

There are several issues I'd like to address here. In the evening, since you're used to eating then, do you game then? You say you were snacking then. It seems the best solution would be to come up with some nutrient and calorie dense foods to snack on while you're gaming. Could you make yourself some chicken sandwiches…

Every time someone eats zucchini an angel gets its wings.

You're a 31 year old male with quite a bit of weight to lose. There's a lot of information going on in your post that needs to be addressed, but I'll start with your question. An energy drink can be part of your weight loss plan. But then there's the matter of your weight loss plan. Have you been losing weight at a safe…

The funny thing is, when I gave up sugar because I thought I was addicted to it, I suddenly acquired a whole new list of "addictive" foods: 1. Egg salad 2. Chicken Legs 3. Cheese 4. Whipped Cream with slivered almonds 5. Deviled Eggs.

Come back when you've maintained your weight and your WOE after the honeymoon period is over. And I say that without snark. Issues with food are complex, and it can often take time to truly tell the tale. My tale of "sugar addiction" contained a sustained journey on the low carb, no sugar path. Eventually, my behavioral…

Just try a baked potato. They are very satiating. They're also pretty low in calorie for how satiating they are and they're really good with other things. You can still have a ton of other veggies. Or maybe try twice baked potatoes? Scoop out the filling, mix it with cottage cheese for some protein and some steamed…

Where do I sign up for this?

It matters in terms of how it's handled, though. It matters in terms of your thought process and relationship to it, particularly in terms of a future relationship. If the problem with food is not substance based, future relationship with any food thought to be addictive is possible through behavior modification techniques.

Why You Run and Can't Lose Weight by Peachy Carol 1. You're Eating Too Much

Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Or a snack. I plan what I eat, and sometimes I plan to eat more on certain occasions. On other occasions, I eat less because sometimes? I'm just not hungry. It all balances out. I have enough faith in myself and the habits I've developed with food and exercise to just go on with life.

Another vote for shirataki noodles. Just awful. I've always known beets were not only awful, but downright evil. I wasn't even dieting when I discovered that truth.

I have to agree with blankiefinder here. You've had issues in the past with calorie counting, so it sounds like doing it now won't work out well for you. In addition to what she suggested, I'd like to add that you should familiarize yourself with the sources of calorie-dense foods in your diet like hummus, avocado, and…

That fish is a brilliant find for people who can't afford to outfit their kitchen in cast iron cookware. It's also a great charitable cause.

I only do that at night. I need a new day time hobby. I'm thinking of taking up tap dancing.

Well, while I'm not as up to date with what Eric is arguing in this thread, I'm a little confused by this study. Can anyone clarify for me why they feel this was anything to take seriously when they had people replacing a protein source with broccoli and based the comparisons on caloric content rather than direct nutrient…

I've gotta do something at night for entertainment. J Edgar Hoover wrote a lost musical version of Hamlet.

Are you weighing ALL your food? You mentioned weighing your proteins, but what about your veggies? They can add up. Do you eat grains or starches? Those calories can matter very much in your particular situation.

Dania, how long have you been in treatment for your Graves? Do you know your current levels?

I eat romaine with spring mix all the time just for the vitamins. I have no idea where that trainer got their information from.
