True however there is so much bashing of nutritionists and dietitians on this site and how they're "quacks" and you "shouldn't listen to them". No one knows what the conversation between the OP and the dietician was nor do we need to know. If this is the plan that they came up with and it's going to work for her then I say…

Welcome to America where you can sue over anything and the courts will accept it. We need to be more like other countries and if you bring the lawsuit and lose then you have to pay the defendants court fees. That would cut the lawsuits down immensely.

Just watch tv during the day and you will see all the ambulance chasing ads because those are the people who are typically watching at that time. (Note: I work from home and on occasion I will watch tv on my lunch). So yeah, they WILL find a greedy lawyer to go forward with the suit.

She did. She busted her foot and gained 10-15 pounds back from it. I think she's lost 5 or so since then (this was back in May though). OP: So what if she's the judge of a cooking show. Are you saying that people who do Jennie Craig or Nutrisystem have to be on it for the rest of their lives? Never mind the fact that being…

And I'm sure there are plenty of people in general who DO sit in front of the tv and mindlessly munch. Putting a cut-off time to eating isn't necessarily a bad thing. Never mind the fact that the OP didn't delve into what the entire conversation was -- and she shouldn't have to -- so perhaps she is one of those mindless tv…

That is actually the reason why you shouldn't lay down after you eat. Acid reflux and heart burn which inhibits digestion.
-
It causes acid reflux

Why does one have to drink milk out of a cows teat in order to like it? I love my raw milk. Heck, if I hit the farm just right the gallon I get is the new batch straight from the cow! Nothing better (or more fresh) than that.
-
It depends on what time you go to bed. It is typically not good for digestion to eat and then lay down immediately after. Also we don't know if the OP has an issue with snacking too much at night so this could be a way to curb that.

Bacon (although I will eat turkey bacon), butter, peanut butter, cheese, milk, meat, wine.

OP: If you want to curb your sugar in take then do it. If I buy packaged foods I watch the added sugar. If there's a lot then I don't get it. I also don't do the artificial sweeteners. Since I have been conscious of added sugars and staying away I feel loads better (and notice I said added. I'm not talking about the sugars…

Teddie all natural peanut butter. Ingredients: salt. Peanuts. If I go with almond butter then I get woodstock farms all natural kind as well. Ingredients: Almonds. Both brands are non GMO.

Alcohol inhibits weight loss (and the OP could also be cutting it out for other reasons). I've cut out alcohol during the week because I found that the daily glasses of wine added up and I gained weight. And yes, it was the wine because I weigh everything and there is not anything that I don't track. Anyway OP, why not go…

I haven't had soda in ages. I used to drink it but I don't drink it at all because it is way too sweet. I rarely use it as a mixer. If I want something fizzy then I drink seltzer water.
-
I use milk.

We had an awesome garden this past summer. We were freezing (we had to invest in another freezer just for our produce) and canning pretty much every single weekend. This year we are going to invest in grow lamps and start things in the basement. We tried it last year but with the absence of grow lamps it was rather…

It also makes a lot more sense that the FDA would say "GMO's are safe" since the deputy commissioner is a former Monsanto employee.
-
Hence the reason I get raw milk from a farm up the street. I will never go back to store bought milk
-
Raw milk. All the milk goodness plus all the beneficial bacteria that gets killed during the pasteurization process.
-
If it's just "genes" (which I highly doubt) and they're "so safe" why are they banned in most countries?

Yogurt, cottage cheese, olives, eggs, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, regular milk, almond milk, cream, green pepper, head of cabbage, romaine lettuce, cheddar cheese, smoked cheese, lunch meats, Monterey jack cheese, pepperoni, salami, carrots, celery, hummus, bunch of condiments, left over mashed sweet potatoes. Freezers (one…

And if you just don't like the taste of black coffee? The fact that some people prefer milk and cream or just milk in their coffee has nothing to do with whether or not the coffee is "crap" as you're implying. It has everything to do with someones personal preference. I get my coffee with a splash of milk -- and when I say…

LOL. I just Googled Coffemate non dairy plain powdered creamer ingredients. Sorry, but I didn't see anything "fake" or "toxic"
-
Completely safe because the FDA said it is? Sorry but when food is resistant to pests and pesticides it makes me wonder what they're putting in it to make it that way. I'll stick to my heirloom variety plants from my own garden thanks. And no, GMO is NOT the same as hybrid.
-
Wow. Sounds like you've done some trial and error with this.
-
I will mark that one down. It's hokey, I know but I figure since I make my own yogurt and cottage cheese why not try butter?
-
I plan on using the cream from my raw milk so I don't need to add bacteria to it. And it is kind of one of those things that I want to try once.

There are brands that are minimally processed. And FWIW: that turkey that you're buying at the grocery store is also full of sodium and preservatives. Check out the ingredients. Unless you're going to a farm, picking out your turkey and having them butcher it for you it's going to have sodium and preservatives in it.

I used to go weekly but not so much any longer. I will more than likely go this Sunday but it's been a while since I've had to go. I make my own yogurt, cottage cheese, ice cream. I have a freezer filled with veggies and some things that I've made. I have meat in my freezer to use and we're getting a 1/4 cow soon so that…

Wow. I am totally blonde. Took me a while to get this. . . .
