I use it all the time in place of spaghetti with sauce. It's delicious. Because it's called "Spaghetti Squash". OP isn't trying to trick her mind or call it something new. That's its name.

For some people once a week is "normal" (it's really not though). It points to a problem in the bacteria in your stomach/intestines. I just read a book on this and it was quite interesting. But yeah, after ONE day of not going I get irritated.

*shrugs* Try and see what happens. I don't always count on the weekends because I can't always remember what I had to eat. Also I'm not at my computer on the weekends as much as I am during the week. When I do log on the weekends I'll ball park it.

LOL! I can just see myself trying to let my dog know that he can't get peanut butter. He knows what the darn jar looks like and gives me those ASPCA eyes when I have it out.

Okaaaaay. . . . .?

You can go an entire DAY without drinking ANYTHING?! How is that possible? I drink coffee in the morning -- only about two cups -- but during the day I either drink 1 to 2 liters of seltzer water or I fill up a seltzer bottle with regular water and drink 1-2 of those. It's not that hard. I just keep it next to me at all…

He is wicked smart! At night he gets a pig ear for a treat and he knows what time he usually gets it and goes ape when we ask him what time it is or if we tap our wrist. It is too funny. He also figured out that if he runs ahead then we hide on him on the way to get the pig ear so he now stays next to whoever is getting it.

I disagree in your interpretation of the definitions. With the definition of a goal you have a direction and a clear objective of how to meet that goal. With the definition of a resolution you're just saying "I'm going to lose 10 pounds by May 31!" and that's it. And sure you can announce your resolution to the world but…

IN for puppies and dogs! LOL. My dog rules. We obtained him 3 (or 4?) years ago when some asshat dumped him off at the end of our road! He is a 5 year old, 80lb German Shepherd who thinks he's a lap dog and loves to snuggle with his momma. He still has a lot of puppy in him and I swear he understands what we're saying.…

Sounds like you went to the Torrington one. And I think that is the guy that owns them all. ETA: Like the hat. I have a funny Giraffe one that I love to wear.

You're talking to a wall. My PF is the same. I've dead lifted in front of the owner AND the manager and never got yelled at or an alarm pulled. They rarely pull the alarm. Again, the equipment, the rules, everything depends on who owns the franchise. I wear tank tops with spaghetti straps and short shorts and have never…

Sounds like the one in the town I go to. I worked out at the PF in Providence once and that one was HUGE. It had squat racks, Olympic bars, a ton of weight plates (you have to go hunting all over the world for weight plates at my PF), two towers if I recall correctly. It was pretty stacked. The thing is though that the…

Yes, but "resolution" IMO means "short term" with no real map of how they'll get there. For example: - Lose 10 pounds by May 31 - Eat better - Exercise 5 days a week While those are great starting points there's no clear-cut way, which is very typical of resolutions. HOW are you going to lose 10 pounds by May 31? What are…

Which again, reiterates the point that not all PF's are the same. The equipment that they have depends on the one who owns that particular franchise. I wish my PF had a bench press and squat rack but it's fairly small and space is really limited. I heard a rumor that they were going to buy the store that's for sale right…

Make sure you read labels as there is hidden gluten in a lot of things. Also beware of cross contamination of your foods. Make sure that if you go to a restaurant you ask how they prepare certain things. For instance if you get french fries ask if they are fried in the same oil that the breaded chicken is fried in. If it…

Hmmm. That sounds very familiar!

Ok. First of all: calm down! Take a deeeeep breath and focus. :p Second of all, I know you said it's a fixed menu and there will be drink pairings. Correct me if I'm wrong but I feel as though the menu will be fairly small. I only say this because at least once a month or so one of the restaurants I frequent has a wine…

Correct me if I'm wrong but one doesn't need to exercise to lose weight. As it is my understanding from all the information on the board one just needs to reduce their calorie intake.

It really is the best milk. There is a store in town that sells raw milk. For $10/gallon! I'm not sure I'd trust the freshness of it either. I get mine for $4/gallon and like I said, we go around milking time so I know it's fresh.

I just bought unsweetened vanilla almond milk today for a recipe I was making. I tried a sip to see what the big deal was. Eeew. Eeeeew. EEEEEEWWWW! Some things should just be left in their natural state and almonds are one of them. It was, to me, naaaasty. I might try it in my coffee just to try and use it up or just find…

IN for pooping!

I read the title wondering why in the world anyone would take a picture of just one leg. LOL Way to go OP!! :)

Who is giving medical advice? People are telling her what they do to stay regular. No one has given any sort of advice that could be construed as medical. My advice is pretty common knowledge about the bacteria in your gut and what you should take to keep it in balance. Google it. You'll find a plethora of articles about…

Prebiotics are carbs that can't be digested by your body and feeds the probiotics. Pretty much anything you eat has prebiotic properties but some foods that have a lot of it are asparagus, Jerusalem artichokes, bananas, oatmeal, and legumes. I also supplement with this:…

What are you doing now or plan on doing to attain your goals? It's awesome that you're asking for support but do you have a specific plan of action?
-
What sort of fiber are you taking? Also you state you "take a probiotic". What is the brand you take and do you take it regularly? Are you taking prebiotics in conjunction with the pro? I just read a book last month on gut health and I learned a LOT. I also have been taking prebiotics, probiotics, fiber, and added…

Obviously you misread my posts on the steak. I said that I personally rarely, if ever, will return food. In many instances I don't even have to show the server because they know how I get my steak cooked and they can see whether or not it has been done right as I cut into it and if not then they take it back. I have even…

Yes, many times and I've taken them back to the store and either got my money back or exchanged it for better looking produce.
-
The OP obviously needs to look at other food stores for her produce. I'm sure there are stores that provide fresh produce for a reasonable price.

Not sure yet. Going out to our local restaurant for dinner so my options are limitless! :)
