Sounds tasty, although jello and veggies sounds iffy to me - is that good?

Sounds like rice cakes are a no-brainer. Peanut butter might be a challenge (nut allergy folks) but maybe I could rock a cheese spread of some sort? Thanks!

Yogurt - Can and do! I've been eating the low fat stuff, which is not as tasty, but I'm going to up the ante. How do you eat your oats?

Had to google Fodmap - nothing so specific, but looks good! I just find I'm better off avoiding high residue foods so I'm good about it...sometimes. I try to be anyway. Looks pretty close to what I've found by trial and error anyway, especially evil delicious chorizo. Really like the egg salad on rice cakes idea! Easy,…

Strength training 3x/week, jogging 3x/week. The jogs are about 30 mins apiece, and the strength training sessions are generally 15-20 minutes (I work out at home so I don't have to wait for machines or anything :)). I also walk the dog once daily for 20-30 minutes so I generally hit 10k steps with the fitbit flex. Lost 15,…

As someone with similar stats (5'6.5, starting weight 145, goal weight 125, current weight 130), here's what I'd suggest based on my experience: - Set exercise to sedentary - Set goal rate of loss to 0.5 lb/week - Weigh and log everything (everything!) that you consume - Log any additional exercise above sedentary…

5'7 and SW 145-150, CW 135, GW 125. I still look squishy at 135 at my current body fat %, but I might go back up later if I get some muscle and end up looking too thin at 125.

Hey! Not an expert, but I have done this before (and at a very low level of fitness!) I'd say wear tight, stretchy clothing if possible (yoga pants are fine, just don't want them getting in the way when you're looking for a foothold). And cut your nails if you have longer nails. I would look for an area in the gym with…

I found the first couple of days was the hardest, staying under calories without slipping back to old habits. I would recommend getting rid of all of the super tempting snacks until you can control your cravings, if you can. I still have my boyfriend hide chocolate & chips if he wants them around. As to what to do,…

I am for real!

#4 - I do this too! Every day is the only way I could keep it up, if I tried to do it every few days I'd end up slacking.

I've been plucking my eyebrows for years and they're still the worst. I have no eyebrow game at all. If I don't pluck them at all, one is higher than the other and I look permanently quizzical. The situation in my (two year old) profile pic is especially bad (sharpie-brows) but honestly they're not getting much better. &…

Good one! I agree, all information is good information. If I gain one week, I want to know why.

Always wanted to try kettlebell! I don't know if we have classes locally, but it sounds like something you could work with as an independent workout too. #5 - Definitely - I feel like so much of weight loss is mental, the deciding that you're worth the effort to make a change. Glad you let go of the body image negativity!

Congratulations on the loss, that's amazing!! #2 - Yeah, I could never wrap my mind around the deck of cards thing either, I have no visual estimation abilities. Bought a scale last week and it's been awesome! #4 - This! I've been parceling out Easter candy for the last few days, weighing & eating, and it's made me so much…

This is such a good one! I haven't been able to completely cut it out (caffeine and occasional alcoholic beverage) but it's so much more satisfying to eat your calories than to drink them.

Crohn's here! Diagnosed 2013. Based on what I've heard, diet for UC/Crohn's is different for everyone, but I've had good results loosely following low residue diet guidelines: http://www.webmd.com/ibd-crohns-disease/low-residue-diet-foods. Sometimes you just flare anyway though - it sucks. Maybe consider tracking symptoms…

I have braces, and I've been slowly gaining weight the last few months. One day I was just like "I'll be damned if I spend all this money and wait all this time to fix my teeth, and find myself 30 pounds heavier when I get them off." Gotta get my whole body game on point.

Don't log it as calories - I used to but it just doesn't feel worth the effort any more (unless it has milk or sugar in it, then yes, log). I don't log my water intake but if I did, I would totally count tea!

* - also you should eat enough so that you don't feel like you're starving, very important!

I never do! Usually 50-200 under what MFP estimates and 400-600 under what MFP + Fitbit estimates. I have a fitbit and it seems like it's overestimating my activity levels - like Kathy said above, as long as you're over 1200 & under what MFP is estimating you should probably still lose. I think the general consensus is…

Yes!! Steak all day every day.
