huge difference! Way to go!

Unless you inherit it with your spouse, like I did! (My husband's moved to Canada from England.)
-
Sounds decadent! mmmm
-
Yes! I keep (g)oatmeal at work for emergencies and "forgot my lunch" days.
-
Me too! I feel like I've over-complicated things, so I was curious to see what else people regularly eat/buy/keep.
-
Yeehaw!!!
-
Way to go! How long into your program are you now?
-
Any progress photos?

I have done a half of the first phase and couldn't physically eat everything I was supposed to in a day. Maybe once I got my LBM up and stronger I would be able to. I may try this program again, but I found the nutritional advice a bit nuts, personally. I'd say do what feels right without compromising the overall program.

We have 2-4 days a year like this... Thanks for the suggestions, guys - going to try to get up earlier to get out there, I think.

Yep, was with someone destructive for 5 years... didn't see this until we split and I found my most amazing husband. OP - You can do this! I believe in you! You are an amazing person for -wanting- and -working-!!!!
-
That's a million dollar idea.

You step on the scale and wonder if you should cut your hair yet - it's got to be heavy, right?
-
Poutine. <3 And bloody ceasars made with gin. (Yes anyone who is not Canadian may need to do some googling....)

Be honest, put all your cards on the table. If she doesn't like them now, better to know now than X number of years into it! That's how I weeded them out to find my hubbs. lol

I have been in a plateau since starting... hanging in a ~4lb limbo since about a year ago.

Inflammation, drinking more water after exercise, muscles repairing, etc. Your body is adjusting - if I have learned one thing so far is that this "game" takes a whole metric butt-tonne of patience and persistence. You've got this - keep at it!

My very favourite healthy soup!!!! It sounds boring when you see the ingredients, but all the herbs mixed in makes it hearty and flavourful. I find it's actually quite good cold on hot days, too. Lentil-tomato Soup from The Vegetarian Epicure 2/3 c dry lentils 4 c water 1 onion, chopped 4 carrots, chopped 2 stalks celery,…

Foods that were not appealing before hand are now DELICIOUS. Fruits and veggies don't need a half gallon of ranch dip or yogurt to taste amazing when you're actually hungry for food, instead of just eating for eating's sake.

Way to go guys! I'll join in at day 60 for the last 30, maybe. Any progress photos?

It measures steps taken.

I have not, but I have friends who had done a few rounds.

Hi Little Seal, I'm really glad you're trying to take good care of your body. It's brave to talk about your recovery, and we're here to cheer you on the whole way. Please see a doctor, nurse, or other health professional that can help you set some goals and make some plans (if you aren't already)! This is a great start,…

21 day fix containers? I always wondered what their proportions were...

Eninad, may be most cost-effective to have some things taken to the tailor and brought in... A sort of compromise between buying all new clothes and not liking the ones you have now? Aside: I LOVE your avatar. (Penguins and sushi are both huge in my houshold lol)

+1

Tatho, that is an incredible loss! Way to go.
-
That's a very ambitious goal. Good luck!

Get a water bottle with a sippy-straw or one that you can put a straw into - sip instead of snack. Chew gum. Use Chap Stick.

Get a water bottle with a sippy-straw, or put a straw into the top of it. You get that hand-to-mouth feeling sipping it. I also chew on straws for this hand-to-mouth feeling. Make hummus and cut up veggies into thin sticks and eat those instead of other snacks that are higher in calories. Just leave your 100 cal or so in…
