I've been contemplating exercise a lot lately. Not in the sense as to whether I should do it. Of course I should, and I do. But I had been considering a marathon in a few months and I'm at the point where a 3hr training run is not something I feel like doing. So I'm good for a half-marathon, but lacking the desire to train…

I am so going in the wrong direction on my scale. Too many happy hours, too much eating out, too many days without planning what I'm going to eat. I'm starting a detox today and seeing what I can salvage in the last few weeks of this month!
-
I'm right there with you. The best plans go awry at 7pm when I start foraging through the cupboards!
-
I really need to focus here. My problem is that I can have a few great days, and then kill the progress with a binge of eating/drinking. That's the problem with living in a city -- there is always a happy hour somewhere. Even Whole Foods has one! I like to see how others are doing, what is working and what is not, and…

Drunk Thur, Fri and now tonight. Why does alcohol taste so good?
-
^^^ @BeachBaby_81 that's just awesome! Going to have to steal that one for future use.
-
I'm looking for motivation and a commitment to all of this, too! Feel free to add me.
-
I can only speak for the second part -- and marriage can feel that way, too.
-
I want to be friends with you all so I can get your posts on my home page. So intrigued by these confessions -- many of which I have either done, or thought of doing, too!
-
It is, and a bold one. Good luck!

Sept 1: 189.5 Sept 11: 194. 5. Ouch. Goal for month: 183. I have to lay off the $5 margaritas.

Agree with @Shull_Rachael. Every morning, for better or worse, to gauge what's working and where I've stumbled. Surprisingly, tequila may make me stumble home, but seems to have little effect on the scale.

Last night was a walk to Georgetown with my wife, 2 glasses of wine with dinner, and a long walk home. That's the first alcohol I've had since last Sunday. I'm calling that a win.
-
Yes. Sometimes you just can't go on. HYE lived in a tent for a week with no cell phones?
-
@DCRunnerGirl78 But as kryptonite goes, craft beers are a pretty good weakness. And there are certainly enough to choose from living in DC.
-
I am right there with you. Or maybe my wife will have a glass, and I have this 'obligation' to finish the bottle -- you can't let it go to waste...And there have been Sundays where, like you, I'll run miles in the morning, open a bottle as we're cooking and proceed to drink it all. Weekends are the worst for calorie…

I'm in. I like seeing how others are doing, what is working, what is not. I live and work in a city, which means my life involves a lot of restaurant food. And I'm always looking for something to snack that is quick, easy, and healthy.
-
@CeciliaBobilia You had me at brownie batter.... Definitely must try this one!
-
@sholehdadressan Happy Birthday, and best wishes to your success!

I'm in, but admittedly, alcohol is a pretty solid part of our lives here. Opening a bottle of wine as we cook isn't even a major thought, and grabbing a few bottles in the grocery store is routine. I'd like to give Sun-Thurs a shot, though.

@Famof72015, I think we've all been there. I know I have had enough nights like that, too. Hang in there. @tmbg1 I like the idea of no booze on school nights. Question: am I allowed to cancel school on Friday so I can partake of a good Thursday night happy hour?
-
Way too many margaritas last night. That's all I'm saying. But I had a great time with my wife on a sunny summer Sunday.

I do the same thing with the calorie database, @susanayt97. I choose the one with the most calories and hope for the best. @andrew4150, I haven't spent as much time looking at my sugar totals. I will have to take a look at that. Bananas have a lot of sugar, but I must assume they're better than a PopTart. I just try to…

I'm the same. Once the posts stop and its all, this person was below their calorie goal, or this person has logged in for 39 days, but there aren't any real posts about how they're feeling, or how they're doing, or a great recipe or exercise idea, I tend to delete. I like to compare notes, see how others are doing. If…

I have a scale here that I want to try to use faithfully this week. So much of what I log are approximations. I'd like to be more exact.
-
Great posts! I'd like to add you all. I like to see how others are doing, what they're eating or doing for exercise, to get ideas to try here.

I'm right there with you, but your pain is much more chronic. I just have this every day, everything hurts thing going on, and it gets harder and harder to go work out. So much of it is related to eating, I am sure, and I am trying to keep a better journal of what I am eating so I can see how it effects me the next day. A…

I'm in! Sept 1: 189.5 Goal for month: 183. I am happy and sad about August, and even just the past week. I had a good start, and good focus, but I did not hit my goal weight, which was 185. It was probably too lofty of a goal anyway, but I was aiming for it. And last night, I went out to dinner, which has led to a food…

I have no idea what the Hormone Reset is, but I'm intrigued. Care to share the details?

^^^ So true!
