Guys like to drink mojitos and curse at strangers, too!
-
Yep. But the embarrassment didn't last long. HYE told off your boss at a work/group meeting?

Got home from an intense NYC weekend very late last night. Dinner on the delayed Amtrak consisted of hummus, pretzels, Sam Adams, and M&Ms. I'm going to need a few days to detox, and it's not a pleasant feeling. However -- doesn't your own coffee, after a night in your own bed, taste amazing?
-
Yes. But I think we all do. And there have been jobs where I realized later that I should have stayed a bit longer. HYE left a seriously big tip?
-
I'm not working out this morning and I'm having pancakes for lunch today at this 24-hr diner downtown. There. I said it. And if you have days like this too, you'd be a great friend. :)

I usually post about what's going right (or wrong) on the day with calories, or the downfall a happy hour can cause. Feel free to add me. I'm a middle-aged married guy living in a city filled with great bars and good restaurants, so temptation is always lurking.
-
"Nearly" -- I like that! 4 days in, and I resisted the temptation to invite some folks out for happy hour last night. I was just in the mood to be out.
-
My wife's out of town. I ate her dulce du leche Haagen-Dasz for dinner last night. I'm going to replace it with a new one before she gets back tomorrow.
-
Yes. HYE intentionally sabotaged someone at work?
-
Congrats to all who made the month. I think I went 5 days. Temptation is rampant when it is just so convenient!
-
Wonderful goal!
-
I have. Kids are fun to be around. Their energy can be contagious. HYE developed a crush on a favorite barista?
-
Right there with you. Think it would be easier to count the days I did not drink vs the ones on which I did!

Traveling this week, so taking the time to re-think my balance with food, exercise, life -- just all of it. Can I be fit without having to dedicate my every exercise moment to a goal race? Can I be fit just to feel good, but without the muscle aches and soreness? Can I eat that damn bagel without thinking that its going to…

I'm in that ying/yang cycle, too. Nice to see I'm not alone!
-
I hear you there! I'm the same.
-
Impressed with this. I was thinking the same thing, for October, only with 10 pounds. I'd be up for the challenge for another month, since I absolutely did not do well in September.
-
It went well. Hard work, lots of stress, some weeks no $$, but at the end, was bought out when I was ready to go. HYE spent the whole day walking outside?
-
Looks like you've had a good week. Nice job!

I have a junk food hangover this morning. The couple of beers last night were fine. But when I was walking home from the bar, I stopped for Cheetos and chocolate. I should have skipped meeting up for drinks, stopped for a good dinner out, and gone to bed at 9.
-
@jenniferv38, I hear you! Ate a bag of potato chips last night. Not one of those little $.99 bags. The big one. And 1/2 way in, I'm asking myself, "are you really going to eat this whole thing?" "Yep". That was the answer. However, the calories worked out almost okay, as I'd had a great workout in the morning. I really…

The wino in me would have finished it off. I'm impressed with your will power!
-
I don't know how your day is going, but I could use a margarita here.
-
Kind of did the same thing here. Organized a huge project with a few others, which essentially takes up a room. I find myself just hanging out in there now looking at it all.
-
Agreed. Weekends are definitely harder. Same with the food choices. At work during the week, I don't even think about eating. But at home, I'm on a quest for sugar and carbs, whether its in pancakes or drinks.
-
^ Right there with you.
-
Almost a regular logger, and kind of hit my calorie goals as planned except for the true blowouts of margaritas or carrot cake. But I do try to post, and I'm known to give some Likes and the occasional Awesome and Woo. Add me.

Sept 1: 189.5 Sept 11: 194. 5. Ouch. Sept 18: 191.5 Goal for month: 183. I have to lay off the $5 margaritas.

But not every night, thank you.
