  • Roast chicken from shop rite, sweet potato fries (slice potato, toss with olive oil, sprinkle a little salt--25 minutes@ 400, yum!), steamed spinach sauteed with a little garlic, & salad
  • Meat (protein) of your choice, vegetables. Don't use commercial sauces until you get good at reading labels for hidden gluten--use simple spices & herbs, lemon or lime juice, tomatoes. If you want a starch, rice, potatoes, cormeal(polenta), buckwheat, quinoa. Beans are full of protein & fiber.
  • I love bagels (the big, chewy, bagel bakery ones!) but between the calories & the carbs, I really can't fit it into my day (for me--diabetic, so have to spread out my carbs through the day) & it would be close to a third of my daily calories. However--I still eat them. When someone brings them in, I bring one home, weigh…
  • The larger Bed Bath & Beyond stores -- the ones with grocery sections -- have a HUGE selection of the SF Torani syrups (& regular ones for those who don't care about sugar). I've tried Toffee, Salted caramel, almond, cinnamon vanilla--I've also occasionally used them in my oatmeal --yummmm
  • I weighed myself Sat am, naked, after bathroom, -- 253.4lb. Before bed, after dinner, fully clothed, including slippers -- 260. I did not gain 6 lbs in 14 hours!!! Many things will cause temporary changes in the scale. That's why I weigh every other day or so, but only record weekly.
  • Unfortunately, I do not have the nutritional breakdown for this, but it could be run through the recipe builder to get an idea. Filets Mignons with Cranberry-Orange Sauce Weight Watchers Recipe 8PointsPlus Value Prep time: 7 min Cook time: 22 min Other time: 0 min Serves: 2 This speedy recipe with a sweet-tart cranberry…
  • That's the problem I've had the last few nights. I'm trying to keep my carbs @ 45% (diabetic, trying to get off medication),P30%,F25% but my go to late night snack is the 100 cal popcorn bag, which at least has fiber, but I'm usually a little low on Fat & Protein at the end of the day. I ended up having a small serving of…
  • I have a daughter with celiac disease, & when we went to a new years eve party, there were 2 people who were thrilled to see her & her gluten free appetizers & cookie platter, because while they don't have it, one had severe arthritis she controlled by going gluten free, & the other had severe digestive issues whenever she…
  • There are gummy vitamins with iron -- might want to check those out. Also, if you like oranges or other vitamin c rich food, take that with your iron -- it will absorb better & you will get more effect from it. DO NOT take your iron with calcium rich foods -- will block absorption. Can't speak to the psychological issue of…
  • Sam's club-- Milk, eggs, egg beaters & whites in carton, canadian bacon, boneless chicken breast, ground beef (90/10), pork (we buy the 20lb one, & cut it up into roasts, chops & bits for stir frying!), whole chickens if I don't feel like cooking that day, salad veg -- lettuce, cukes, tomatoes- but not right now, b/c it…
  • I don't have time in the am to prep my food. I prep & log breakfast & lunch the night before & have specific snacks (usually yogurt & fruit) that I grab & put in my bag. Dinner depends on what we have in the house, what I feel like cooking, & what else is going on that day (my work day starts anywhere from 7-830am, so I…
  • I assume since you've done this before, you know you have to do it in the database. I've never been able to edit through the app though
  • chocolate peanut butter oatmeal-- oats, milk, pb2 & cocoa. Made it tonight, will reheat tomorrow at work.
  • I typically make it with about a cup of baby carrots 3 ribs of celery a medium onion chopped up and some garlic cloves. The garlic cloves pretty much just melt and the onion carrots and celery are chopped up small enough so that they can can be with the soup, along with whatever meat I pull off the bones.I don't add a lot…
  • I pre-log b/c I have to pack breakfast, lunch & snacks for work. I don't usually know what I'm having for dinner too far in advance, but I try to keep my calories prior to dinner/evening snack to 45-60% of my daily calories. If I know I'm going out, & don't know what I might have, I'll go less to make sure I don't go over…

  • fiber one tortillas -- 80 cal, lots of fiber, big enough for a fajita, burrito, or sandwich wrap.
  • I'm sad about this. My daughter has diagnosed celiac disease, & even though it's a little more expensive, we were happy that we could find a few places we could still go out to eat at. It's difficult enough to find gluten free out, especially places that are specifically trained to prevent cross contamination. I hope it…
  • The most important thing is to take it on an empty stomach. I have been taking it for over 30 years (partial thyroid removal @ 18, for what turned out to be a benign tumor). I take it as soon as I'm out of bed--I leave a glass of water on my bedside table for that reason. Unless you walk immediately to the kitchen to eat,…
  • What are McCain smiles?[/quote] They're a frozen potato product--their round, with cutout "eyes" & a "smile" -- soft inside with a light crust--baked
  • While I need to lose most from the same areas as you, I lose from my waist first. When at my best, I have an exaggerated hourglass figure-- ideal waist/ hip differential is supposed to be 10 inches, but mine is 14!
  • I like ff/sf pudding. I also have cookies in my freezer that I know are about 60 cal, have them with a cup of tea. A few hershey kisses. Really depends on what I'm in the mood for. I might have a baked apple, or apple with PB2 spread. No wrong answers, just as long as you have the room in your day for it.
  • Egg Beaters with salsa & cabot 75% fat free sharp cheddar, wrapped in a fiber one tortilla with 2 slices canadien bacon. Coffee with hershey unsweetened cocoa powder
  • This morning, I scanned my Maple Grove Farms sugar free syrup, which, according to the back of the bottle, is 30 cal for 60 ml (2 fl. oz). It showed up as 15 cal instead. I went to the desktop site & manually edited the entry. Not all are correct, even when you scan the barcode, so you do have to be careful
  • Stay away from processed foods as much as you can -- they can be hidden sources of gluten. My daughter has celiac disease, so has to stay away from it & I've gotten pretty good at cooking everything so that she can eat it. Commercial gluten free foods can be useful, but many are higher calorie/lower nutrition/costlier than…
  • I weigh myself most mornings, but only record weekly. I watch the trend, but the once weekly number shows the big loss
  • Interesting take on the crust. I love spaghetti squash, so this might be something I'd try
  • I love putting apple in my sandwiches. I made a grilled brie & apple sandwich yesterday-- Arnold's Nature's Harvest light multigrain 2 slices 3 tbsp Alouette light creme de brie (1.5 oz) slices of apple -- like you said, eat the rest on the side 1 tbsp smart balance light -- to coat the bread for grilling 327 calories, so…
  • I'm not a real mayo fan, so this is the one my mom & I have been using for years. Keep in mind that I hate chopping cabbage, so I use 2 package of coleslaw, 1package of shredded red cabbage & 1 package of shredded carrots in place of shredding the whole cabbages & carrots. You can cut those amounts in 1/2 & also cut the…
  • I also work in a hospital that uses Sodexo. They post the NI at the counter, & have barcodes so I can scan it. Try to look for the entries without the * in front of it when looking in MFP-- those are user entered entries. My biggest issue is the serving size, as the servers tend to be over generous, & I have to get them to…
