  • Add me for support too. Im not new I've lost over 50 lbs but was on a few week diet break and am now back at it to lose the last 30 lbs or so!
  • Trying to quit too. It doesn't go well with my new healthy lifestyle. Nothing worse than spending 2 hours at the gym then lighting up on the way home. I had my doctor prescribe champix a medicine that is supposed to block nicotine and help me quit. Im only a week in but it seems to be working. It does Have a lot of aide…
  • here is another one that made me feel great! My 12 year old daughter now steals my clothes and wears them! I cant get mad at her bc it feels amazing that we are almost the same size!
  • Omg when i read this it sounded just like me op. I cannot tell my size either and the bony knees feels so weird! Guess it takes a bit for our brain to make a new body image map. Congrats on your loss! Another thing i never expected was all the male attention. Now i have to deal with men staring or asking for my number a…
  • Wow great job everyone i needed motivation today and this helped!
  • Just keep at it. Weight loss isn't linear. I seem to lose weight 5 lbs at a time after TOM once a month then nothing the rest of the month until after that time again. Weird but so glad I didn't give up when I didn't lose for weeks at a time. Water weight glycogen stores etc all can cover scale loss. Measuring myself has…
  • Find a New Doctor! if your numbers are off and he wont give u meds he can't be a good doc
  • 1 to 2 hours depending on how much free time I have
  • Mine is 150, but the number isn't that important to me as how I look. I think when I get to like 170 or so I will have a better idea on how much I have to lose. I want to be fit and thin without losing all my curves! I started lifting heavy so I hope that helps. Don't want to become skinny-fat !
  • I know right..a big difference for just a few pounds and Ill post some to the EM2WL website when I get a chance, I am still a work in progress though, although I think Im gonna throw my scale out the window :P once again no loss in a few days but im down another inch around my waist. So whatever ill just stop weighing…
  • coke zero and diet mountain dew taste awesome!
  • Its true, if your metabolism is way messed up then your not burning what they estimate from this site. This happened to me but I am slowly fixing it. I was barely losing weight at 1200 calories a day. It takes a lot to mess it up though, for me it was years of not eating except once a day or maybe every other day followed…
  • Don't mind the bad pics ive been taking them after I work out once a week so I could see the difference. These are about 1 month apart after I INCREASED my calories by 800 or more. Its only a 5 to 6 pound "Scale" loss during this time, but as you can tell from my decreasing belly it looks like a lot more than that as I am…
  • msjeep...the same thing happened to me when I upped my calories. I went from never being hungry ever..like id skip meals and eat once a day and wasn't hungry even then to being so starving I couldn't wait to come home and eat. I eat almost every 3 hours or so now,at least a snack if not a meal. I think It is the metabolism…
  • I am down 10 pounds and for me it equaled more than 6 inches off my waist and 3 inches of each thigh, 3 off hips and 1 1/2 of each arm, and down almost 2 sizes...not sure why it was so much for me as it was from 225 to 215, it shouldn't have been that much of a difference but maybe its all the exercise im doing?
  • oh and make sure you check your measurments if your not losing, I hardly lost anything for an entire month but when I checked I had lost 6 inches of my waist, so the scale can be a horrible measure of progress. If your feeling good I bet its starting to work, you just gotta keep it up :)
  • Hi welcome to MFP, im only about 2 months in, so not really sure about a lot yet, but wanted to say we are pretty close to the same weight and height and I am eating around 1800-1900 a day right now and its working pretty good. I did start out lower but found as I exercised more I needed to eat more and didn't want to…
  • are you all eating enough? Having a slightly lower body temperature can be caused by a lack of food. Anorexics tend to have body temperatures around 96 to 97 degrees but even to a lesser scale if you have been low calorie for awhile it can cause a lower temp. You can take your temperature and if its a few degrees less than…
  • Did you measure yourself and not lose any inches either? I only lost 2 pounds last month but lost 5 inches from my waist and 3 from each thigh etc... Scales arnt always a good indicator of how your doing
  • Thank you :) I guess I just needed some confirmation that I was on the right track. And no I am not logging weight lifting just cardio on the fitbit. I will start and see if that helps and yes I have a foodscale and am using it.
  • Add me as a friend for motivation if you want. We have similar goals and similar histories! I too have been through a bad divorce and am now a so gle mom going back to school! Exercising and eating well has really helped me to feel better about myself and I can't wait to see what the future brings now! You will do great on…
  • I'm using my fitbit for TDEE so it should be somewhat accurate. Two months ago I couldn't even do a pushup..now I can do 10 :) and i am able to lift heavier weights. I still have a long way to go but since I'm not "dieting" but eating more then ever I know this is something I can do the rest of my life and eventually the…
  • I'm on everyday if anyone wants to add me!
  • I think you and your family will do great! Your already off to a great start. Take it slow and just do what you can when you can.
  • That's awesome! She will learn from just watching you. mine loves doing yoga videos with me off tht computer at night. She spends half the time laughing but hey its a start. One thing we've really enjoyed is I had her make me an obstacle course and we timed eachothr on who could do it quicker. 10 jumping jacks, then run up…
  • I'm a mom add me if you'd like. One of the best things that has happened since I began my journey is today I asked my daughter what her new year resolution was going to be and she said" eating healthier" ! I was happy, as I wish I had better habits as a child. She also has been mentioning that she doesn't like sweets…
  • I'm 5'8" too and 216 right now and a size 14. I have quite a bit of muscle and don't look my weight and have no idea what I want my goal to be I'm thinking around 160 to 170 though. I'd be happy in a size 8 to 10. I don't want to lose all my curves either!
  • Same here without my measurements I would have been so discouraged thinking it wasn't working. I lost 6 inches on my waist while barely losing any pounds
  • I'm having quite a bit of success with it after years of vlcd that never worked for me. I am not being strict with my macros or even my calories though I'm honestly just eating whenever I'm hungry trying to include as much fruits and veggies as possible. I am tired of "diets"and want to shift my focus to being healthy…
