I'm trying to lose about that much too! My only requirement is that no matter if I go over my calorie goal, I must log everything. Good luck!

True dat.

The lowest I've been as an adult is 148. I was a size 6. I want to get down to that again and then I'll go from there. Right now I'm 193 (size 14 or 16).

You look like Jake Gyllenhaal! And that is a compliment.
-
I was thinking he had the same pose every time he took a picture! I've seen them all over Facebook! Or a cutout, that makes more sense.
-
It's definitely not what I want to hear when I feel terrible, but you all are so right. I definitely need to drink more water. I can tell that I'm not getting enough.
-
I've heard that you should drink half your weight in ounces.
-
I'm getting it removed when I lose the last weight. I've had it for 10 years or more through weightloss, gain, kids, gain, loss again. I don't think there's anything to do other than cutting it off for me. Hopefully you find something that works!

I loved the article because I am the person who gets the sense of urgency to eat everything. If I let myself have what I want, then I don't have the urge to eat everything. It's not the last time I'm ever going to have it.
-
"I have had enough to last a lifetime" Great words. I need to keep these in mind the next time I feel like "treating myself". Or the next time I feel like I've not treated myself enough.
-
I think most of you guys are of the same mind as I am. You all are just better at phrasing it than me. I don't like wearing "yoga pants" all the time because they make me forget to watch what I'm eating. I also have "goal clothes" too. I think it helps me.
-
The clothes I'm referring to are the ones I'm wearing in my picture. If my pants are snug, it's not like anyone will notice. Like I said, the uniform is very forgiving but I would not be caught dead in jeans and a shirt that were too tight. I would feel really uncomfortable and fat.
-
I made the choice. The clothes I'm referring to are my uniform for work and I've had them for almost 5 years. I joined the military and were issued them in basic training. Since then, I've had two kids. I feel proud being able to wear them and losing the 40+ pounds it took to wear them again. I am motivated to lose weight…

I was very tightly weighing and logging my food for about three-ish weeks then I went on vacation to DC for a week. While I was there, I didn't log or weigh anything. It made me so uncomfortable all the time! I depend on my calorie count and logging to tell me when I'm done eating. I can't just wing it and gorging myself…

My husband will randomly look at me and say, "You're so beautiful!" and when I'm worrying about weighing and measuring my food, he will comment, "You don't have to lose weight, I love how you look." This is because my husband loves the girl inside me. Not because he is wanting something. And also, because he has fallen for…

YES! I get this all the time! I am still considered obese (I have to lose about 6lbs to get out of that category) and I have family calling me skinny. It's more like, "Wow, you're half the whale you used to be!"
-
Well said!
-
Yeah. That's what I meant. Sometimes the words in my head won't make it to the keyboard. I usually just opt to not say anything at all. :(
-
Wow. I can't read. Sorry! Carry on!
-
I had it already! A turkey and baby swiss wrap with cinnamon apple straws.
-
Awww. This is so great! I am so glad that you were able to get out of your "hump" and make some progress! It's difficult to change what you are doing and try something new (or adopt a new mindset), but I'm glad that you were able to do it! Congrats on getting to the 170s! I hope to join you soon!

I think most people would recommend that you eat 100-150 of the calories you burn. That's pretty close to half of what it says you're burning.
-
That's what they're saying. You are carefully tracking your food. The OP was not. That is why the fitbit is not accurate. It's not because it is wrong, but because she is giving it the wrong calories in.
-
Right?! It just sounds like the OP is making excuses. Does her step-mom throw ingredient boxes away as soon as she adds it to her recipe? Or does the OP just sit in her room until dinner is ready and now she can complain that she doesn't know what is in the dishes?
-
But it is normal in the first week...
-
. I started the thread and I don't know where it is now...
-
Haha. I don't waste it. I feed the pieces to my husband.
-
Hahahahah. Wouldn't that be nice? I wish!
-
I do that though! If the bag of doritos says that 28g is 140 cal, I will measure out 140 g every time! Even if I have to break a chip in half to get that weight, I will do it. The same goes with my English muffin. If it says 61g is a serving, and my muffin is 65g, I will pick off pieces of the muffin until it is the 61g it…
-
That is really awesome. I think it's amazing you are taking so much care into it. I think I might get me an extra scale so I can do this when out and about.
