Also 50m GLOBALLY, not only for the US.

This question, and for how long did you try those things before switching to something new or giving up?

That's great! Today I took it easy because it's Sunday and I went running yesterday, but I did get 11,500 steps in.

And the other part, about the therapist...?

This, extremely worrying, please seek some help.

In your diary, I see lots of entries like "1 container " or "2 slices", and entries in grams where the weight of the item is exactly the same on multiple days (e.g. chicken, salmon, broccoli). Do you weigh these things? The homemade chilli con carne recipe, was it yours or did you select a "homemade" entry from the…

Thanks! 😊 You're right, initially it didn't seem like much, but it would have been so easy to stay chained to my desk. Today was jogging 🙂

Where are you @hawkeye45_ ? Hope you're keeping it up!

OP, did any of these suggestions help?

Super hectic and stressful day at work today but instead of just eating something quickly at my computer, I forced myself to take a 30 min break to walk at lunch time. I consider that a mini win!
-
Are you weighing and tracking all your food? That's likely to be far more important than exercise.

Same general meals, different portion sizes. Or he gets something extra like chips/bread/cheese on the side.

Not as many steps today, currently sitting at 9978. I'll get the last few before bed to make sure I hit the 10,000 mark.

Weight would far more accurate.

I do things like this and then cook for example chicken, which I use on days 1 and 2, day 3 I throw over the pre-cooked prawns you can buy in the supermarket and day 4, a tin of tuna. So one carb&salad base with varying protein.

Went for a run today! I have a question: I don't understand why you keep repeating "I can have a day off tomorrow ", when the point of this thread is no days off. What does it mean? Isn't it that you CAN'T have a day off?

Depending on your starting weight, 28-42lbs in the next 3-4 months might indeed be unreasonable. You should be aiming at maximum 2lbs per week, slower than that if you're not very obese or very sedentary.

I usually just check in some of the main forums for the threads marked with new posts since I last looked.
-
Well done you! Today I did 14,400 steps. Will try again tomorrow 🙂

These things are all gimmicks and a waste of money. Track your calories, weigh your food, maintain a deficit. That's all you need.
-
That may be true in the US, I don't know all the rules there. However in some countries outside the US there are laws on private gatherings, and the post you quoted mentions 'other countries' so perhaps this was meant.

How many calories are you eating per day and how much weight have you lost in the last 6 weeks? You may not be eating enough.

I hand wash, sometimes they get warped in the dishwasher and then the lids don't close properly anymore.

Or try some that are not high-waisted. Maybe that's not the right style for your body shape.
-
Yes, it really sounds like you need some help outside these forums OP. Please see if you can find some professional help.

I understand your point, but it sounds like you are lucky enough to live with your family. For those living alone, or separated from their parents or children, it's tough to imagine not seeing them for months or even a year.

If your exercise regime is new, that can also cause temporary water retention that may mask weight you have lost, especially when you are at a healthy weight and any loss is going to be slow. If you set your food diary to public, maybe some of the experienced MFP-ers can give you some tailored advice.

Sorry you're going through a hard time. You have some good tips already, I would just add: are you intentionally eating only one meal a day? I wonder if you made yourself a healthy breakfast and/or lunch earlier in the day, you would be less likely to feel the urge to order take out in the evening. I know that when I'm…

Everyone on your other thread already told you that's way too fast to try to lose 14lbs at your current weight.
