  • Suppressing my intuition or feelings / compartmentalizing.
  • I am so glad your symptoms have improved! I have to remind myself daily that "you're here, you're doing the work, and that's enough!". Healing isn't linear and it sounds like you are putting everything into your recovery. Really proud of you <3 Happy to be a buddy!
  • Reaching out for me is the best way to prevent my ED behavior. Do you have friends/family who you trust to hold a safe space for you when you're feeling like over-eating?
  • I like to light candles and put on my favorite music and take a long shower. Then if I'm feeling like I need an extra boost, I reach out to a friend
  • Hey ladies, I'm planning on starting to make this group active again. How would you best like to be supported? ❤️️
  • Perfect! I'm going to start a sign-up sheet for more active members! That way we can start a facebook group too! I think this would be a perfect way to keep in touch, as it's hard to be active here :) Can't wait to get to know you ladies better!
  • Hey girls! I think we can absolutely make this an active group again. How can we best support each other? I can start an email thread so we can contact each other outside MFP, or we can do daily/weekly posts and updates here. I'm anxious to here about how y'all are doing.
  • I can totally relate! I think we swung in opposite directions, though. I was Bulimic for 8 years, and then stopped binging and purging and gained lots of weight. I'm losing weight now, and trying to maintain recovery- so I understand that balancing act! Let me know if you need any support, I'm always here x
  • In my experience, it's quite hard to narrow down what exactly ED thoughts or behaviors are for everyone. Because for some of us, counting calories is triggering and is apart of what their eating disorder obsesses over, but for others it's perfectly acceptable. So here's the trick to figure out what yours might be: We have…
  • I had a really hard time with no seeing results immediately too. I had to concentrate on the differences I did feel on a daily basis. I cut out carbs and sugars, and war that was raging in my head simmered down quite a lot. Some weeks my weight doesn't move at all- but I have to constantly refocus myself like I'm a child.…
  • Katie, I'm also glad it sounds like you have a great support system. Your goal isn't stupid AT ALL. I honestly hope that for you, one of your goals is just feeling better? It sounds like you've been through hell and back. Please be kind to yourself. Treat yourself like I'm sure you treat that gorgeous little girl in your…

  • Oh darlin', I've been there x I've recovered from Bulimia, and it took years of therapy and group sessions to help me do it (not that you'll need that). But I have lots of advice and I would be happy to chat with you if you'd like x Feel free to add me :) In fact, I've just created a Eating Disorders Support Group on MFP…
  • Good for you for posting on such a sensitive subject x I've recovered from Bulimia, and been through years of counseling. There's a lot I can share with you, but I'd need to know a bit more about you first x Add me if you'd like and we can chat :) I also just made (Literally, like 3 minutes ago!) a Eating Disorders Support…
