  • You can use protein powder in a lot of foods you like such as pancakes, muffins, porridge, cookies, cakes, and a favorite snack of mine is protein balls. (Theres tons of easy recipes online) Great way to up your protein if you don't like or are getting bored with the usual sources. You don't have to just drink it like a…
  • Protein DOES have 4 calories per gram. As do carbs. Fat has 9 calories per gram. If the percentages on your example are correct that item has 110 calories. Which sounds about right for that amount of chicken. On average, meat is about 20% protein, and 5% fat. The rest is water. Water has no calories.
  • The recipe already has pumpkin. Its a pumpkin muffin recipe. Has no oils, or sugars. 2 egg whites, greek yogurt, pumpkin puree, maple syrup. Oat bran, protein powder Makes sense the apple sauce replaces oil or butter. I might try the pear. Do you think baby food pears or fruit would work?
  • If you are hungry eat. Log everything, even if it goes over the recommendations MFP has given you. This will let you see how many calories you are actually taking in as well as areas to improve. (such as better snack choices etc) Use a food scale. You'd be surprised how often you make portions that are too big, and yet you…
  • Sent you a friend request. I can introduce you to Jim. I broke it off because we just weren't working out. 😋 I'm 29 in my mind and soul. My kids (also in their 20's) want to negotiate a new age for me. I'd consider it but it's inappropriate to say the F word around the kids Goal is lose 45 lbs, get fit and run another…
  • I love making goals. My goal is to run a sprint triathlon in 2020. Did two in 2017. Decided this time I will learn to swim, bike and run first. 🤪
  • On average, a nursing mom needs an extra 500 calories a day. So if your calories are set for 1 lbs loss per week, you might find yourself losing close to two anyway. Make sure you stay very hydrated for both you and babe. If you are hungry, don't be hard on yourself if you go over. Baby is counting on you to eat enough for…
  • Hello fellow Albertans! I am from Lethbridge.
  • I hesitate on the weight lifting/body building because I know nothing about it and cannot afford a personal trainer. And I am a weakling. There's a recipe for disaster right there. Not that it's out of the question...hoping to build myself up to take some of the more intense classes at the gym in a couple months. Just not…

  • Weight loss is part of it. I want to make sure I am working on toning and building muscle as the weight comes off. I don't want to wake up one day at my goal weight and say "Oh yeah, guess I have to build some muscle to fill in some loose skin." My goal is to run another triathlon next summer. I ran 2 sprint length tri's…

  • I did the night shifts and successfully lost about 50lbs. It's all in the mindset. I logged my food based on time block, (0000-0600, 0600-1100 and so on) I worked 12 hour shifts, so I only worked out on days off. 12 hours on a nursing floor was enough of a workout. I also learned to "block out" co-workers and their gossip.…
  • Sent a friend request. I am right there with ya
  • Sent a friend request. Anyone else in this age range feel free to add me.
  • Love that attitude! Add me as a friend if you like. I am doing the same thing minus the weights add swimming and another dog.
  • Awesome! Thank you!
  • Thank you! tried that and then some. Finally got it working!
  • I just said screw it and bought this T-Shirt.
  • Sent you a friend request. I will listen anytime.

  • Go to Settings - push notifications. From there you can check or uncheck any kind of reminder you want or don't want. You can also turn it off or turn it off during certain hours.
  • I noticed Garmin now has their own scale on their website just the other day. I'm considering one myself.
  • First....forget everything you have read on the internet. What works for others may not work for you. Weight loss begins with you. Set your mind to lose weight. 1-2 pounds per week is healthy. Weight loss starts with what and how much you eat. 500 calories over per day equals one pound per week. And 500 less per day equals…
  • Ouch. That sucks. Personally, I'd opt for a camp stove and cooler. Wish I had more suggestions for you.
  • I used to swin 3x a week to prepare for a triathlon. I am not the greatest swimmer either and although it wasn't my "main" workout, it definitely still counts as a workout. How many fat unfit Olympic swimmers have you seen? Once you start getting more fit and losing weight, you will probly want to add something else for a…

  • I thought I was the only one who had this! I posted about it about 5 years ago and nobody thought I was serious? Allergic to excercise? Yeah right. Mine can go into full blown anaphylaxis so I do carry an epi pen and have a medic alert bracelet. Many doctors, a diagnosis of EIA and yet no real answers later I have just…
  • I would love some inspirational friends! Just figuring out this app. How do you request or add friends?!?
  • You got this! I would add you as a friend but have not figured out how to do that yet. Add me if you like
  • I cannot pass up sarcasm, BS or brownies. Can't figure out how to add you. Please feel free to add me.
  • Thanks for your support anyway. I know it's a long shot for information here, but I appreciate whatever info I can find. PS I have tried swimming and aqua aerobics. I react there too :(
