I am 43 and started with MFP at the end of November with (at least) 30 lbs to lose. So far I have lost 17 1/2 pounds and counting! Would love to be on the journey with people who have similar goals and are committed to logging everyday day and sharing their diary, so please friend me if this is what you are doing or plan…

Is it in your house already? I have thrown things away when they tempt me too much. If not, what about making a plan to "treat" yourself to something else that is not food, such as a manicure or whatever you find enjoyable? Another option - chocolate frozen banana smoothie that is lower in calories (and healthier) that you…

I have made a law for myself that I have to log any excess calories over my goal on the next day as part of those calories. That way I don't punish myself today (and end up binging even more out of self-pity or giving up), but instead I trade it for fewer calories the next day. Just knowing that I have to do that often…

What about the MFP-sponsored ads that are spam???? It's hypocritical to flag member spam but not MFP spam! (and I don't post spam, by the way - I hate all of the ads).

Monicagarris - I I haven't had that done. I hope everything will be ok!

I'm new too! Please add me:)

Great job Nijitaliana! I think how you handled was very responsible. I will try to emulate that. I call them "minibinges" and so far I only had one since I've joined MFP. And I like your positive perspective on overcoming cravings, thiswillhappen:)

Ok I'm at 45% and 20% protein and 35% fat (try to keep bad fats low though). The amount of protein is definitely more than what I was eating before I started MFP. I think this is helping me have a bit more energy/strength, but of course doesn't solve all of those problems. I may be able to go down 5% in carbs, but what is…

Awesome post! It's great to read about someone else with similar issues. I am a stress binge-eater and MFP has helped me be more mindful and less emotionally impulsive. I think having a committment to logging everything has helped. One thing I did after a recent "mini-binge" (my first since joining this site about 3 weeks…

I had a recent diagnosis too. How much did you drop your carbs? To what # of grams/day or to what % of the macros? I've had some success with cutting out gluten, but still having symptoms and I'm hoping other changes - like going lower carb - may help.

people who complain about us food police... just kidding:) But seriously, my pet peeve is sort of the opposite - people treating me like a freak because I eat things they have never heard of. I don't judge what they eat, but they automatically assume I'm some kind of snob because we make a good bit of our own food from…

Stick to portions I would eat any other day, no seconds, but "splurge" on one regular helping of dessert! How about you honee_bear?

ok dumb question - but what does 80% diet and 20% fitness mean?

Sounds great! Good luck:)
