  • Same! I have 'tree-trunk' calves, which is what my brother told me when I was kid and I've never forgotten. I don't wear shorts, I only wear black pants to try to slim the look of 'em, etc. They are super muscular from genetics and carrying around so much extra weight - it sucks.
  • I use Budget Bytes and the Minimalist Baker quite a bit, especially that crispy tofu another poster mentioned above.
  • I always get the extra firm, dry it out as long as I have patience for and sometimes will shake it in corn starch to give it a bit of crunch.
  • Ottawa here (but I'm a hardcore Habs fan).
  • My fave lazy recipe (I just reduce the amount of cheese, use small whole wheat tortillas and skip the toppings) http://www.budgetbytes.com/2012/02/hearty-black-bean-quesadillas/
  • I love it with sauteed spinach, Garlic Expressions/pasta sauce or a wee bit of sundried tomato pesto, a little garlic havarti, sundried tomatoes, and if I have enough leftover in my calorie/fat budget, half a sundried tomato Tofurkey sausage. • I highly recommend Budget Bytes for recipes that are fairly frugal, and can be made in bulk, especially the black bean quesadillas and swamp soup. Not sure what your nutrition goals are, but I bet a lot of the recipes can be adjusted to suit your needs/tastes.
  • If it wasn't for the Les Millles classes, I would never go to the gym. I just started a month ago, but I love Combat - I enjoy watching MMA, so in the class I pretend I'm in the octagon and really give the upper cuts, elbows and kicks everything I've got. I don't love the instructor but sometimes that motivates me more cos…
  • I recommend Budget Bytes - not exclusively veg but lotsa veg options. My faves from the site are the black bean burgers (you could probably omit the egg), swamp soup and black bean quesadillas. Super simple, economical and often with stuff you have kickin' around in your pantry/freezer.
  • I love Budget Bytes for the variety of recipes, as well as the low cost and the easy to follow pictures (I am a terrible cook so it helps to have step by step photos).
