Is there a reason your goal is set so low (very short, very overweight)? Your goal is probably too aggressive, so you could decrease your per week loss (down to 1 or 0.5lbs) to eat a bit more each day. You can also work out to earn "extras" which you can and should eat some of. :)

NSV? ;)

Gross. Hope it's a drowsy allergy med so you can get some sleep!

I set two different alarms for 15 minutes apart so I get the satisfaction of turning the first one OFF (not JUST snooze), so that I'm okay getting out of bed when the second one goes off. They're different sounds so I don't accidentally turn off the wrong one. I also can't snooze much since I get up, get ready, and leave…

Just make sure that they can alter the dress enough to accommodate that kind of weight loss. When I bought mine, they told me they can generally only alter down two sizes without compromising the dress. There's really no physical way I could go down more than another size, because I have a rib cage, so I wasn't worried…

Realizing you won't do it is the key! Other than that, what's so bad about feeling a little flattered? ;)

Thanks, all! Internal candidates tend to be favored, since there's little to no orientation and adjustment period to the company to worry about, so things move pretty quickly. They can also see legitimate performance reviews right away, which may or may not help! ;)

GUYS, I GOT A PHONE CALL ABOUT A JOB! I have a phone interview on Friday, late morning. Eep!

When I worked at CVS, we got a similar package when the final Harry Potter book came in...a week before release!

That happened to my grandmother. They went in for a gallstone or something like that and popped her appendix out since they were already in there. I don't hate the idea of eliminating the potential need for another surgery...but maybe tell me about it? ;)

Update: All three applications have been submitted. Have not yet gotten around to getting my transfer requests signed, but at least now I can't flake forever! (They don't HAVE to be submitted together - just before any actual interviewing can happen) Also, one of MY team is also putting in a request for a different…

Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many of you to quote, so blanket thank you in advance! ;) I actually touched base with one of the hiring managers already (the flex/travel position) since the posting was from a bit ago and I wanted to make sure it was ACTUALLY still open. He said he'd be awaiting my submission tomorrow and be sure to…

Transfer request forms filled out for three positions (two at our other local campus, one "flexible" with some travel requirements), awaiting signature (manager is off today). *gulp*

I've updated my resume and already uploaded my 2014 review into the system, so I'm definitely leaning that way. It's just SUCH a hassle if it doesn't work out. Mostly because I just KNOW that it'll leak out. She told a bunch of people about my FIL's heart attack back in May when I hadn't even told anybody!

Confession: I'm seriously considering putting in a transfer request at work for a better position out of a different office (a smidge farther, but no big). It would have NO DIRECT REPORTS (~*happy dance*~)and be a step up, career-wise. The catch is there's no way I can even apply without my current manager signing of on my…

As evidenced by the fact that FOUR DAYS are currently displaced on Page 1619. There was a time you couldn't get 4 hours on a page! I sometimes wonder if the 1600+ pages scares people away.

You friend them on their profile page.

400 days!

Just for general knowledge, I ordered my dress on September 5th. It came in on the 19th. (This is for David' Bridal). They also set my first alterations appointment for 7 weeks before my wedding. I'm hoping to only need two (one to make adjustments and one to verify them!), but I think an emergency third could be squished…

'sup, y'all? Greetings from The Garden State. Confession: I'm enjoying this training experience way more than I thought, and it's actually making me think I should look to transfer within the company way sooner than I'd planned to think about doing so (rather than look outside the company).
-
Yeesh. Remind me to avoid those!

I'm not sure how to remove things you're created/edited but you might be better served by just doing a quick add for things like that. If you're estimating the total anyway, that'll keep it from being added to your My Foods list.

Confession: I'm out of town for work most of next week (POF, expect a message shortly!), so I have to come in on Sunday for a couple of hours to do a few things (sign off on payroll, prep a weekly report, etc). This has made me utterly USELESS today. ...but my manager's off so nobody's really paying attention to me.

That lemon creme cookies are delicious! Can you spread them out over the week to minimize the damage?

But will you try to read all 1600 pages? :D Fun fact: We collect bottle caps at home (to eventually shadow box or something, I swear) and I insist that it's so we'll be rich in the post-apocalyptic world.

Free pizza one Monday evening a month and free bagels on one Tuesday morning at mine. I've definitely seen people check in, get pizza, and leave. The basic membership is $10/mo and the "upgrade" is $20/mo, so maybe that's worth a free pizza dinner? PF absolutely banks on the "please don't show up" model since my gym could…

I'm all for adopting the men's method and using measurements. That would make pants shopping so much easier! At least in the waist. Everything is still 4 inches too long on me. ;)

It's generally considered over generous (much like the machines at the gym), so most folks only eat back 50-75% of their exercise calories, or they use a heart rate monitor, but that's only accurate for steady-state cardio, and isn't really useful for something like weight lifting.

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/news_feed_settings Make sure the last box is checked, and log your weight session as "strength training (weight lifting, weight training)" under the cardio exercise section.
