I had three (THREE!) events yesterday (post-bachlorette breakfast for a friend, cousin's post-destination-wedding barbecue, and a two year old's birthday party) and I'm only up two pounds on the scale today, which is totally all water weight. I also hit the gym this morning, so am already back on track. :)

I was on vacation, so really, even I missed my birthday. I ate key lime pie and snuggled extra-toed cats in Key West for the day. I totally get the busy, but we should try to carve out a get together sometime soon(ish).
-
I did! Thank you! I don't know that I'd be able to keep up in there if it's even remotely as busy as it used to be.
-
Good, just so busy. The wedding is just a smidge over four months away so lots going on there and I'm essentially up to full workload now that I'm almost to the six month mark with the (not quite as) new job. Hi, Mo!

'sup y'all? There were too many apostrophes in that sentence, me thinks.

That's Lester 'round these parts. ;) I know them because I spend a lot too much most of my weekend with the Premier League on in the background. (I am a Crystal Palace supporter. Please don't judge me.)

I'm on my phone in NYC's Penn Station for you people. In the original spirit of the thread, a confession: I have majorly reduced my social media time (mainly the forums here and mobile Facebook), in exchange for small home projects and more gym/yoga time. It has been absolutely wonderful for my motivation (I can maintain a…

In the spirit of the thread, a confession: The person who took over my previous job selected a team lead candidate today, and I think she made a poor choice given her options. Oh well!

She meant the raw ones. I never bother boiling just-bought eggs. I pick them up a week in advance. They always peel super easily when they're "old."

I have a shirt that says "YOLO" and has a kitty with a question mark over it's head. I (not so) secretly enjoy when people don't understand it.

I have an ex-boyfriend who is prettier than I am. Like, he did some modeling kind of pretty.

Yep. 10/29/16. Been working at it slowly over the last year to make sure it's sustainable. I'm at an "okay" point where if I don't lose anymore, I can live with it. But, if I do, yay me! I'm really more interested in getting fit now, rather than being thin. Adulthood! ;)

If he opens your diary when he's logged in, there's a "Quick Tools' link under each meal. He can copy it to his from there.

I'm equally bored at work when not in TRAIN ALL THE PEOPLE mode. I honestly can't wait for this week to end and to only have to show up a couple more times to be useless next week. Not that homework is any less boring - currently writing a business strategy plan to revitalize an airline's financial limitations. Terribly…

'sup original thread?

We're only two weeks from some of the ladies on this thread start becoming brides and not brides-to-be! Eep! I still have 10 months. Ha!
-
It's over the 8 week period between donations, so it's like, 11.5 calories a day! Still funny!
-
Nope. MFP will always chide you for being under 1200 calories - especially as a dude (where the minimum is generally considered to be 1500), because they default to not supporting ED behavior. Can't make exceptions for doctor-recommended because it would be taken advantage of by those wishing to validate their own low cal…

But of course!

Confession: Smartfood and Diet Mountain Dew for lunch. It's been that kind of day and will continue to be until I've transitioned all my responsibilities. The end of the month can't come soon enough!

This is virtually meaningless since my version of "healthy" and yours probably aren't the same. It also has nothing to do with weight loss. 2000 calories of broccoli is the same as 2000 calories of cookies - in terms of CICO. If you weigh everything, how about the other stuff that was suggested? Poor database entry…

Are you weighing all the solids you eat on a digital food scale? Liquids with tablespoons and measuring cups? Are you eating back your exercise calories? How are you determining what you're burning while exercising? It's very likely that you are overeating and don't realize it because your logging isn't as tight as it…

Batcavers already now, but to anyone who only lurks here: I got (a version of) the job I was talking about interviewing for a month and a half ago! (The alerts for this thread vanish among all the Batcave ones. It takes actual effort to come here now!)

THIS. Weigh all of your solids using a food scale. Measure all your liquids. Log Every. Single. Bite. Track your exercise and experiment with eating back some of those calories (most folks start with 50%). Be patient. Weight loss is not linear. You might drop 5 lbs in the first two weeks and then not see any movement at…

I'm set at sedentary and let my Fitbit give me more calories when I actually get my butt up and moving. I hate how low my goal is at the start of the day (1200 to lose less than a pound because I'm short/close to goal) so I'm really motivated to get up and earn myself a cookie. I average 10k+ so I could easily be set…

If you're trying to build muscle, you should be eating MORE protein. You really should be eating more in general and not be trying to lose any weight, since you can't add muscle unless you're eating at maintenance or above. Can't make something out of nothing. :) At 100 pounds, you're already barely within a healthy BMI.…

So, how's everybody's planning going? Anybody early in 2016 and nearing the end of the road?

Aaaaaaaaaaand this is one of the many reasons there is an old pair of jeans in my office. (I'm also klutzy and I spill stuff).

You should look at doing a recomp. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10177803/recomposition-maintaining-weight-while-losing-fat/p1 ETA: It is a SLOW, but generally effecive process.
