Just now seeing this thread for the first time. Started tracking calories six days ago. WAY too long time from doing so, with weight gain to show for it. But I find I’m monitoring my snacking in the evening, and also going to bed earlier.

It's a great motivational tool for me. I check my activity level and steps throughout the day. Mine linked up with MFP just fine and I log in daily. It also seems accurate. I have the Fitbit One which is convenient and can be used discreetly.

Every morning but I don't chart it unless it's the same or my weight has decreased This is just a way to keep myself motivated and might not be for everybody. The settings are more important than I had realized. Can you explain why I should set it to sedentary on MFP? Understand the other advice, but not quite following you with that one. Thanks much.

10 pounds in the next 25 days will be a real challenge especially if slow and steady has been the mantra so far, like it has been with me. But I need to re-kick start because I have hit a plateau after losing 20, so count me in, too.
