I'm more excited to reach my body goal than any other goal I've set.

Great job! Big result come from all those little changes adding up. So proud of you! :)

Drink a glass of water before you eat. It helps you feel fuller. If I get a strong craving for something, I will make myself wait 15 minutes before I can eat it. If the craving diminishes in that time, I know I'm not really NEEDING that food and I can usually pass it up. If I still have the craving, I eat a reasonable…

You're protecting your sight and your health. Your doctor has told you this is the BEST for you. Your primary reason is not esthetics, like it is for a lot of people. Haters are going to hate, and she's probably jealous that you're losing weight and she's not (agree with zac775!). Stick to it. You're doing the right thing,…

It did for me, and I found out I have a sensitivity to beef (and 5 other things). It makes me vomit, tired, achy, and gives me headaches. I just don't eat it at all. If it doesn't do that to you the rest of the time, you might just give yourself longer between a meal and workout, or just wait until you're done exercising…

"Pop isn't bad for you if it's diet..." This is a personal favourite. I hate pop altogether. lol

Probably not, nothing against her though! I just don't usually date women.

I appreciate all of you trying to help... I don't appreciate you getting snippy/mean with each other because you disagree on the effects of exercise on depression. Let's try to be nice and supportive regardless of opinions and whatnot... Personally, exercise has always helped my depression. Immediately, and I notice a…

The medication was ill-advised because of negative side effects from previous attempts with it... it was counter-productive to the therapy. It's a slow progress & I'm trying to take things just one day at a time. Exercise helps relieve some of the stress and I'd like to fit more in, but I have other responsiblities too.…

Thank you so much! I appreciated the lengthiness. :) We have a pest control guy, it just is going to cost almost $1000, which we don't have. =\ Our friend's parents recently had them too and gave us the referral for the guy and he got rid of theirs in 2 or 3 treatments. Good point about the extra stress on the body! I'd…

I would say you definitely can! My nutritionist says I'm healthier than she is, and I've still got 40lbs to go!
-
Yes, always! This is such a real struggle. Usually I just let myself go. :(

What will make losing the weight meaningful to you? Why does it matter? Those are your motivations. Write them down, think about them often, and set up small, attainable goals to keep you interested. You'll be hooked once you start seeing results. :)

Smelling the food sometimes works for me for supressing cravings, as well as thinking about how much of my day goes to waste with those calories!
-
Sometimes I log cheat days, sometimes I find it too depressing. I just make sure to put the extra effort in my workouts later on. Where are you getting your calorie cap? 1200 is the bare minimum. And sometimes cravings will go away after you avoid the food for a while (like if it's not based in a nutritional deficiency).

Would you take a youngster? ;P

Keladry, we're basically body type sisters. Keep up the great work!!

Keeping busy or chewing gum works for me. Often times, I just want to chew on something and that'll satisfy it.

I've been obese all my life, until recently (and now I'm just overweight! lol) I do have stretch marks too.

HappyValentinesDay, what's a derma roller? I've never heard of it, but I'll try it if it works! And what does the ground coffee do for the skin? I do use coconut oil after I shower. Thanks!
