• I've been trying and also looked into lean gains but can't quite get it down. Would you mind sharing if you did 16/8 or how you approached IF? Thanks!
• I've done keto in the past and that seems to help a little and varied my workouts too but my body seems to be adapting faster than I would like. Any other suggestions on how to lose fat?
• I agree but no way to guage that without the possibility of getting hurt.
• I was wondering this too. I've been heavy before and lost weight but this time around when I started losing weight, no one ever told me that I'd be less happy with my body now than when I was fat. Sometimes I also wonder whether this anxiety has now replaced the happiness I found from eating what I pleased. Obviously, that…
• I've been there and its is the worst, most personal kind of rejection possible. Avoidance, unfortunately, seems to me to be the best way possible to avoid the hurt and humiliation that come with these types of experiences.
• Haha, this is EXACTLY what I do! Movie, dinner, etc; but when things go any further...I run like there's no tomorrow! What's worse is when they say that, I immediate think I'm about to get used and thats the most personal rejection. I know its not like that always, but as you said - when the standard of beauty has been…
• Couldn't agree more! Nearly unattainable standards!
•
I hear you. I wish there was a diet for that. But no. No cure at all. This is why I try to remain reasonably thin, because at least I don't look bad in clothes, as if it's any consolation.
Spot on! I'm trying to tell myself that how I use mind/body is more important but it's easier said than done. Its nice…

• PS: I think the same folks are posting on two different threads, the other one being http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10168625/body-image#latest so I got them mixed up myself! Sorry! And re:isabelle, fellow skin-sufferer here: hyperpigmentation, eczema and KP
• The irony is, I've lost weight on all parts of my body except my stomach...so this flat stomach you are talking about, I know nothing of LOL. And I'm inverted triangle which doesn't help!

• Thanks, I appreciate it! The marks are always a reminder; although I think ultimately it comes down to managing expectations and finding happiness even if it is not with someone.

• That's really great, I think when it comes to stuff like that, I relate to what cntrygrl mentioned: I feel like even with lights off, he can feel but thats just me personally. I understand its not that way with everyone.
• Haha, echoing my thoughts. I agree; its pretty challenging especially when all I see when I look around are beautiful and thin women. I know its possible to have those issues even as a thin/average sized person, bits what you see and all I see whether it is in media or real life are thin, beautiful people.
• This is encouraging to hear. I've tried low carbing, but nothing seems to be working. Some days it seems like the AN will never go away.
• I'm pretty much in the same boat and its very frustrating to hit plateaus or not see any changes in weight at all inspite of working out. It may be that my body has just adjusted to the usual routine - cardio + weights every day. The one thing I'm trying is increasing the intensity of my workouts/trying different workouts.…
