  • Friday weigh in - back down to start PW - 204 CW - 203 Stay cool everyone. We're getting the heat here in Massachusetts also. Our central air unit broke yesterday and so we won't have any a/c for the weekend. Funny how air conditioners break when it's hot out ... :p .
  • Friday Weigh In...sorry...I went up 2. I'm still trying to shed the bulk from being on vacation. PW: 203 CW: 205
  • 30 min cardio and 10 min lower body strength. Done. Keeping myself accountable.
  • 20 min yoga and 10 min core (and 3 min meditation) to start the day. Check that one off.
  • Hello Team -- I'm back from vacation. For Friday July 5th please put me down as the same weight - 203. For this week, I've put together what, for me, is a manageable exercise plan. I work full time and have a long commute (but can work from home two days). I'm posting here to keep myself accountable. Monday is done.…
  • Hello everyone -- for the green challenge I want to lose 5 lbs I won't be able to weigh in on Friday so should I just wait until the next Friday . I started July off with a colonoscopy this morning. My weight was sure way down. (but that is not what I used for my starting weight) For the 4th we will have a bunch…
  • Hello team Trimstone! Happy to be here. I am a 61 year old woman and live in MA. I have a decent knowledge of nutrition and fitness, but have difficulty losing weight. It's a case of 90% of the time I'm on track, but boy oh boy, that 10% is what keeps getting me. I've joined this challenge because I could use some…

  • Hello... I fell off the tracking wagon this weekend. Too many kids with cookies and chips and ice cream around. I'm back to tracking this morning. Happy Memorial Day! Pretty gloomy here on Cape Cod, but it should clear up later on. A good time to catch up on MFP posts. I could also clean, but that's no fun. Kimses in MA
  • Becca I can't imagine how difficult it would be to have a son join the service. After my daughter went to college I sat on the steps at home and cried saying "I want my baby back". And I'm not the emotional type! Such a sap. But they've got to grow up. Still tracking food. It wasn't pretty today, but I tracked. Not fond of…
  • Beth and Karen I also have graduations this month. My daughter just graduated from college. I was very weepy when they were marching out. Then they started calling all 660 names of the business school graduates and I lost all sentiment and just wanted them to hurry up  My son is graduating high school and after much…
  • Here's my boring little post for today. Day 2 tracking yesterday. Somehow I feel like posting here keeps me accountable. Also, up at 4:45 and did 30 minutes of yoga. *yawn* Kimses in MA
  • Taking baby steps to get back in the swing of things. I tracked food yesterday. I found myself cheating on the entries which is funny because no one else will see it--guess that tells me where some of my challenges are! Because I just plain forget to log I'm going to set up some reminders on my phone. My exercise is going…
  • Hi everyone...I have been soooooo MIA. No particular reason except that I'm exhausted all the time from my new job and the commute (anywheres from 2 hours a day to 4 hours a day depending on traffic) that I am not focusing on much else. What I really need to do is get back into tracking my food. That is always my biggest…
  • A few times I was shimmying into a pair of control trop pantyhose and found my husband watching me....and trying not to laugh out loud. Hey, you've gotta do what you gotta do. Wiggle in and wiggle out.
  • Hi - not much to report. Just stopping by to say hello. I stayed home sick yesterday but was back up and out today. I am tracking this week so that's all I can ask for. Very tired. Have a good evening. Kimses in MA
  • Good morning. I was up at 4:45 to exercise before work. I had to leave early because it's raining and the commute is generally worse on a rainy day...made it in an hour. I'm dragging now already! Plan is to track everything today since I started the Biggest Loser challenge yesterday (and overate on Saturday). Have a good…
  • Hello everyone, It's such a beautiful day out here in MA. More mulch spread, more Advil taken! I'm feeling down about my weight again. It's so hard to get it to budge. Tomorrow starts the next Biggest Loser Challenge so this time I hope to break through the 200 mark. I always feel this way when I am away and stay in a…
  • Hi and good night Kimses in MA (presently in PA)
  • Hi everyone. I'm out of town for the week for work which means restaurant meals every day for every meal. I'm hoping I can be cognizant of what choices. I intend to be. Intention doesn't always pan out, but it's a good place to start. Have a good evening. Kimses in MA
  • One last note...I was on YouTube looking at Yoga videos and one for Naked Yoga popped up. Of course, I had to take a look and the woman had the most incredible body. And then I started laughing thinking about actually doing that and what it would look like (plus I think it would feel a little strange). Don't see a lot of…
  • Michelle I think you are right that a mix is best. I've been doing structured programs like P90x3 and Chalene Extreme, but I get sick of the instructors after a while! (even if I put on music). Maybe 3 days yoga, 2 days weights, 2 days cardio of some sort. I'd really just rather sleep late though :) Kim funny about the…
  • I always seem to struggle with the type of exercise I should do. All the suggestions I've read are all over the place. I know the general idea is to do what you like. And also strength training is important. Cardio is important. Flexibility is important. HA! But I like a lot of things and only allocate 30 minutes a day to…
  • Hi! Not much going on but just checking in. Day 6 of the 8 day Yoga challenge and I'm very stiff. But I always need some kind of challenge to get involved in to motivate me. Mulch was delivered today so tomorrow will be spent spreading it. Night! Kimses in MA
  • Penny Did you see the Google splash page for Earth Day? It's a sad looking Polar Bear :( Here it is:
  • Oh my...step away for a few days and come back to pages and pages of posts. There's no lack of activity on this board. I just signed up for a May 1st MFP Biggest Loser Challenge. Looks like there are two going on right now. I need some kind of structure as I still haven't broken through that 200 barrier. Today I don't feel…
  • Michele - is there such a thing?????? The only foods I don't like are marshmallows and cilantro. I haven't seen that type of chip yet  Kimses in MA
