Yes, I also quick-add the Costco samples. Often times I scan the label on my phone and do the math.

Thank you for sharing. Those are good tips. It’s encouraging that you ate around 1500 cal/ day. That’s very realistic. Congratulations!

Noodle Roni Parmesan. It was my most favorite food ever, but they screwed-up the recipe and the new one is nowhere near as good as the 70s version.

This is a timely post for me because I've always felt the same way and recently I've had an epiphany. I was feeling so depressed and worthless. I was comparing myself to others, thinking about people that (maybe) don't like me, and feeling horrible because I've gained the weight back that I lost earlier this year. I was…

I had two Fitbit step entries at the bottom of my diary. They disappeared, but it was annoying.

Do you need a gym to do Strong Curves? I'm getting the book, and I hope I can do the exercises at home.

Maddie, My entire February was up-down-up-down. I weighed in today and it finally came off in a giant chunk. So keep on keepin' on!

Great information, thank you! Question - Do you think Fitbit calories burned are more accurate than MFPs? I know many reduce MFPs by up to 50%. If I use Fitbit activity calories, am I better off?

@sijomial - embarrassed to say I obviously wasn't doing this right. I read the book a year ago and I did mix them up, probably because I just watched Mosley's doc and she was interviewed. It's only day two, so no harm done.

@TavistockToad - Thank you. I didn't realize that. And thank you OP for the great question.

Thanks for helping me understand this too. I am set up for weight loss, and I always thought that it was just a different way of spending your weekly calories. Because I still need a deficit to lose, I took my daily total for weight loss (1400) and calculated that way. BUT, my calories on non-fasting days are around what…

Hi! I just started 5:2, and yesterday was my first 500 cal day. What I've done is take my weekly total, subtracted my two fast days (2x500=1000) and divided up the balance by 5 for my non-fasting days. MFP wants me to have 9,800 cal/week - 1000 =8,800, divided by 5 = 1,760 calories on non-fasting days. Then I add exercise…
