  • Well I just got back from vacation and I gained 3 lbs! Got some work to do. Disappointed that it went up so much. It'll be nice to get back to a routine again. Hoping the weight comes off quick.
  • Today's my birthday and turned 43 today. Been struggling with losing weight for the past year. I weight seems to hover between 155-157. My eventual goal is to get down to 140, but getting down to 150 is my first goal. I did buy a food scale so I can weigh out my food for a better idea on portion size for a past couple…

  • With the long holiday weekend, my healthy eating is going to take a hit. Will try to sneak in some exercise when I can. We'll see what happens on Monday:)
  • I am in the same boat. Seems like it is harder to lose and easy to gain. I bought a food scale and have been trying to weigh more of my food to get an idea of how big of portions I am actually eating. So between eating healthier and exercising, I have started to see some weight loss...just not as fast as I would like. Keep…
  • I turned down some fruit danishes that someone bought in. Had some beef jerky and an apple for a snack and had some leftover fish for lunch. Just gotta fight the good fight:)
  • I didn't do so well, eating wise, this pasta weekend. It was Mother's Day weekend so I will let it slide this time. But now ready to start the week getting back on track.
  • I started out the week with some good weight loss results, but things have gone awry yesterday and today. Gotta keep fighting the good fight....
  • I have to agree that it seems like in the 40's the weight doesn't come off as easy as it used to. I am currently 156 lbs and would like to get down to 140 lbs. My first goal is to get down to 150 lbs but I can't seem to get below 155 lbs. At my heaviest I was 161 lbs so I have lost some weight since the beginning of the…
  • Didn't do so good on Monday with my eating. Thought I would counteract my eating with more exercise. Will try to do better today.
  • For dinner tonight, going to make grilled salmon. Anyone have any good recipes for grilled salmon? Always looking for new ideas. thanks,
  • I do agree that I do some estimating on amounts, but not everything. I am not a fan of cauliflower so not sure how I would like cauliflower rice. I usually drink wine just on the weekends, but I had a hankering for a glass last night. I will have to see if I have a food scale somewhere. probably won't hurt to weigh my food…
  • Ok, I think I changed my diary setting so people can see it. I still fit into some of my clothes, but they do fit tighter than they used to. Pants that used to be lose on me are now snug/tight. Pants that I needed belts for, now I don't need a belt.
  • I changed my diary settings so people can see it. My goal weight I picked because that was the weight I had been at before having kids. A year ago my weight was at 149 lbs and it ballooned up to 161 at New Years. My weight seems to fluctuate between 156-159. I even went alcohol free the month of January hoping it would…
  • I am 42 years old, trying to lose 20 lbs . Seem to be stuck at 156 lbs. My goal weight is 140. Seems even with the logging what I eat, being active, working out, eating healthy, nothing seems to work. Starting to think there is no hope..short of eating nothing...not sure what else to do.

  • I had heard that lifting weights is good to help build muscle. I started doing jillian michels revolution workout and alot of the moves use weights. I may need to get heavier weights since the biggest i have is 5 lb weights. I do have a kettleball that I don't use very often. thanks for the advice.
  • It is amazing on how much calories is in a sub. I had a cheesesteak sub from the local sub shop for lunch and it had 688 calories!!! Needless say, i busted my calorie limit today.
  • This week I am starting to not snack in the evenings. I am only on day 4, but my weight has gone down slightly since the beginning of the week. Of course the weekends always seem to wreck things for me. we'll see what happens.
  • So this week I am limiting the amount of snacking I do in the evening. It seems to be helping with my weight going down this week. I think if I can get below 155 lbs, I will consider it a small victory.
  • My biggest problems is weekend eating and drinking. I eat healthy during the week, and then the weekend comes then I have some cocktails and eat a little unhealthy.
  • I am 42 and looking to lose 15-20 lbs. It has slowly been creeping up since i turned 40. Started this week doing Jillian Michels Revolution workouts. Hoping that will jump start the weight loss. Also starting to log in the food that I eat, per suggestions from several people on this site. Good luck!
  • I always liked beef jerky too because of the high protein. I'm glad other people think that beef jerky isn't that bad to eat. Thanks,
  • Thanks for all the input. I think one thing I used to do more regularly was log the food that I ate. I stopped after a while because I left like I didn't need to do it. I do feel like I am more active now than I was when I was younger. I have a standing work station for my computer at work so I wouldn't be sitting as…
