You're going to eat it sooner or later, you're going to have to give it time. I've been cycling 4 years seriously and recently switched brands of cleats. Ate *kitten* on my new Carbon bike twice now, debating going back to speedplay.

I've used them all. Strava is my choice. Also remember Garmin partnered with Strava, that speaks volumes.

Safety Harbor/Clearwater Welcome!

I ride front and bike brakes on my fixed. Don't care if that doesn't make me cool, Brakes have saved my life for sure where skid stopping wouldn't of been enough.

Nothing wrong with those bikes at all as long as you're having fun.

I initially bought the bike as trainer and never looked back. I sold my other bikes after they started collecting dust. Building a Cyclocross/Touring bike for 2017 but that's a whole other story.

I have about 5,000 miles on this bike, about 6 something total since starting 3 years ago. Bike commuting 5-6 miles each way when I can, normal fun ride is 30-40 now. I'll grind 50-60 some once in a blue moon. You start small and go from there, I remember a 10 mile ride murdering me.

Fixed gear actually, no coasting

My friends always ask me what bike to buy, I have couple thousand of commuting miles under my belt. This is Florida after all, I know bay shore/South Tampa area well and bike all over the city often. An Older Road bike is your friend and can do everything you need. Mountain bikes and Hybrids are pigs for commuting, they're…

An old doctor told me few years back that fitness is with your feet and weight loss is with your mouth. That was sort of the catalyst that got me going.

Since I started in 2013 I've gone through 20 tubes... It happens, if it gets bad there are options like liners and all those puncture resistant tires. I was about your size when I stared now down in the 230's I found that 28's really helped with the quality of the ride. I've rode 23's for a long time and the flat factor…
