I really like chic-fil-a grilled chicken nuggets and fruit cup. I also love panera.

We are getting ready to move so this weekend when I as running my 1/2 marathon I was visually placing all of the stuff in the new house.

Best advise ever! I also suggest body glide (I use this to fight chaffing). Some others like Vaseline but I like body glide. Enjoy the race it is a really great experience. Oh and smile there are cameras everywhere.

Oh my goodness! I love that stuff!

Congrats! Keep up the good work. I actually kept a dress that I wore in HS (Jackie O style) coast and dress set. I always thought about getting rid of it over the years but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I got into that dress a few weeks ago so you can do it if you set your mind to it. Good luck!

If you want to workout then go for a walk or run if you feel up to it but please don't go to the gym. No one there wants your cold.

Clothes and this summer...several bikinis. I have not been in one since college. This summer is the year of the bikini for me.

So I cannot be trusted with a whole bag of popcorn so I get the 100 calorie bags and just eat one of those so I am forced into serving size.

BEST.QUOTE.EVER! I am going to use this! I will give you credit though. Oh and no way on the pills. Just log your food.

I love flavored vodka and soda water if I am having a few. If I want one to just sip on a warm afternoon I go for a bourbon drink.

Like others have said go and get fitted. Speaking as someone that has worn both (Adrenaline when I was really over weight) and now glycerin (my stride is different since my weight loss) they are different shoes.

This is all sound advise. I loved running...then gained a lot of weight and hated every step. I finally started to get my weight back under control and found that I loved it again. That had more to do with losing my weight because as the weight came off my joint hurt less, I was gain strength in my core and building over…

Agree with others, just sign up. We are moving to a new area (all the way across country) and to make sure I stay on track with my running I went ahead and signed up for a marathon in Nov. That way I keep myself focused. Good luck. Oh and Disney races are fun but you have to sign up right when the open as they sale out…

I do both. The weight training has helped my running which both have helped my weight loss.

skinny cow ice cream sandwich..oh my yummy!

Great job on the weight loss. There really is no right or wrong pace. It is all about what works for you and your body. I know as I started to lose weight and spent more time running my pace got faster. Keep up the good work!

I have run 3 RnR events and they always ask the questions. I never fill it out. It is just for marketing and things like that. It's a fun race. Enjoy!

I would still get my garmin 210...however at this weekend's race expo I did find myself drooling over garmin's latest and greatest.
-
I love to run 1/2 marathons. I don't find the training to hard or overly time consuming. Although, I did sign up for another full for Nov.

I was slow and steady when I started. I worked with (and still do) a personal trainer. Slowly but surly I built up strength and endurance.

Chick-fil-a fries

I did weight training as part of my plan. I think that is why I didn't end up with a lot of hanging skin.
-
Yep backhanded for sure. I would get them once my weight loss was really showing. I really didn't care. I either said..."thank you, I am working really hard" or ignored it. Congrats on the weight loss though that is great!

My go to snacks are mini baby bell cheese and almonds.

I have not run an ultra but after finishing my marathon in January I felt lost. I was no longer in training mode and didn't really know what to do with my Sundays (no long training runs). I quickly signed up for two 1/2 marathons so I had some focus. I think that is totally normal.

Hi there! I got really off track a while back. My life style was grease and booze which ended in a total of 90lbs weight gain. I have lost the weight and have found my love of running again. It took a while but now if I miss my run I am a beast to be around. Good luck with your 1/2. I have one this weekend. Not looking for…

I love my foam roller. It will feel uncomfortable at first but then I feel much better.

Due to my schedule I have to workout at night. I am typically so beat after that I eat, take a shower and go to bed. It worked for me and has for 1 1/2 years now. I think it is more of a personal preference. Just try it out and see.

I can understand where you are coming from. We had several attacks in my quite little neighborhood. They caught the person but it really has me more aware of the surroundings. Luckily it has started to get lighter and the weather is getting better so more people are out. Have you tried looking for a running club? There are…
