I am just 1.6# away fromy goal. After reading countless threads I am thinking about adding extra calories to the weekend. ( increase slowly). I am able to "control" week days easier. Just wanted to share that thought.

Just wanted to say thanks! 6 months ago I read this thread! 35# later and so close to goal weight! Fantastic information for all new people. Bump (not sure why they unstickey this one!)

I drained them but always measure less grams maybe 15 less. Not sure if that's right but I figured the water was part of the serving size.

I saw them moving down last night. No longer stickie:(

Congrats!

A few weeks ago I was extremely sick. I couldn't hold my head up. I barely ate 600 cals daily for several days. Ended up with IV antibiotics and fluid so NO 500 a day is not the least bit healthy.

No, sadly I am not. I have an autoimmune disease akylosing spondylitis. I do try and get some walking in on my good days. And I had lost some weight before starting my streak on MFP:).
-
I have MFP set to .5 loss per week and I get 1220 cals. It's based on your stats. I am not hungry but yes of course I could eat more (the reason why I am using MFP) but I am satisfied. I am 159 days in and have lost 34#.

Hi, I have lost 33 pounds and have 4 more pounds to go. I am very short so a .5/week only equals 1240 a day. Last week I was sick so my logging isn't great but appetite is improving this week.

They say stress and or a Bacterial infection can trigger (AS) I had Mirsa a few years back and at the time the inflammation started last year, I was under a lot of work stress. What is the genetic trait for Crohns?
-
Nope it's HLB-27, I have AS and pos for gene but with all of extras stuff. They say you can be a carrier but it stays dormant. Wished mine I would have:) Good luck! Yes- sorry for the derailment too mama peach :). Edited because apparently I have been writing it all wrong this past year. HLA-B27. :)

Just curious is the genetic marker Hlb-27?

My first sign was my shoulders, than knees, feet, fingers, toes, lower back, at one point my left arm was frozen at the elbow, than my lungs. It progressively went to every single joint. There was about 3 months between first sign and actually seeing the rheumy. I had no redness or hot to touch, just swelling and pain. At…

Mama! I stop prednisone 6 months ago (about a month after humira started.) I was on 80 mg daily for over 5 months. Thanks honey! You truly have inspired me. We all have our issues but we are accountable for our actions! Thank you for your support!

Mine was similar to mama's ( Hi Mama!) last year. I was dignosed with ankylosing spondylitis. Months of high dose prednisone, countless pills plus humira. The breaking point was when I had to have fluid remove from my lungs. I have 3 boys that depend on me. I thought to myself I am never going to get better if I don't make…

It's very simple actually! My goal is .5 per week and MFP cal is 1240 before I would eat fast food sometimes 2 X a day. I actually feel like I eat more now. Last night I had 6 oz steak, sweet potato and salad was still within my calorie goal. I actually figured it out once my old way by lunch I had reach 1400 calories.…

Not exactly the same age but wanted to share. Before we started our new life change (hubby and I) my 15 year old has always been heavier than others. Our 17 and 9 year old are thin. We didn't want to cause any issues by making it an issue. Changing what we brought in the house ( treats are still in play just not readily on…

Thanks I think this will be my plan. I can't really do much with 40 calories:)
-
I use egg beaters and unsweetened apple sauce in my baked goods instead of eggs and oil. Can't tell a difference.

I am 5 foot and maybe a half inch, 37 years and small frame.

Yes I am sure. I am limited with what I can do. I have an autoimmune disease called ankylosing spondylitis. I walk when I can. Trust me I wish I had more calories.
-
I seriously could eat the entire loaf but that wouldn't be in moderation:)

Me me I want some!
