You may also want to try various types of lettuce. My mother was a fan of iceberg lettuce but I can't stand it because of the texture and bland taste. The taste and textures vary and there are a TON of options. Arugula, iceberg, romaine, red leaf (one of my favorites for every day), butter (sometimes called Boston)…

Yeah, "Coke" seems to cover all dark sodas (ie: coke, pepsi, dr P, etc.) around these parts. However, nope, wrong, it is SODA! ;-)

I struggled for years with my weight because I believed the second. Lost some, gained all and more back. Now, loved myself regardless and, oh gee, the weight is actually coming off! So, I vote first one.

OMG is this real?! This horrifies me... and it made me throw up a little in my mouth. Eww

I started strength training right away. I actually found it easier to do than cardio to be honest and because I enjoyed it so much I stuck with it then built in cardio. I started heavier than you (387, which I believe is around 28 stone?) but found a trainer to work with me since I was totally clueless where to even begin.…

But wait, I really need to know, how fresh they need to be? I have ~150+ lbs to lose for a wedding in August and need to know if I have to get fresh ones or if the leftovers from Easter will work? If @tincanonastring cleanse doesn't work, what else will? Please, need an answer before thread is closed!

I think I dropped 10 lbs from laughter! That's possible, right? Or did @tincanonastring cleanse work by osmosis? I do have a question about this cleanse, how fresh do they need to be? I have some leftovers from Easter, will it still work?

I'm new (only started in January) but I know the success I've had so far is because of ALL the "meanies" listed here! Once I started lurking in the forums and reading all the "blunt" answers correcting so many of the wrong ideas I was still caring around in my head from (way too many) years of dieting, it all became…

hahahahahaha... spit my coffee all over the keyboard! Best comment ever love it!

If you go to "settings", you will see an option to "change units". There you can change it to "calories". I believe "kcal" is kilojoules, or kilocalories. Hope that fixes it for you!

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes type 2 as well. However, my doctor chose to try dietary changes, exercise and weight loss as a first approach rather than medication. She sent me to a nutritionist who specializes in diabetes. I have dropped my levels quite a bit since January, into normal levels (which does not erase…

^^This It is not easy to do but sometimes it has to be done as the only way to change their negative treatment of you as well as give you inner strength to keep going on your journey. My family loved to tell me how "fat and disgusting" I was, even before I started my weight loss, and when I told them how hurtful it was…

I hit 40.2 lbs lost and someone noticed for the first time today. So, seems like if you have a lot to lose then around 40 lbs is the noticing point. For those with less to lose, then around 10-20 lbs is the noticing point. Interesting, thanks for all the replies and congrats to all on your losses!

Yea, so, uhm, my mind went to the gutter at first. After looking it up, now I'm wondering, is this a Dr Oz thing? I'd say gimmick.

I was thinking the same thing! I don't even own a television and have ad-blockers for online soo.. don't even know what the heck OP is referring to but now I want ALL THE PIE!

I moved from CT to FL to Seattle with only 3 cats as company! I didn't know anyone and didn't even have a place to live at first. The first two years were the hardest, missing people the most, but at the same time it was the most fun exploring a new place, finding a home, etc. It is an adventure and, as everyone else said,…

Maybe she's psychic? Ask her for winning lottery numbers ;) Congrats on your loss!

Hahaha! I will definitely do this next time I see them if they are still oblivious!

Knee issues run in our family. My mother had to have both knees replaced, my oldest brother has one replaced and about to have the other done, my other brother had surgery but no replacement yet. I am starting to have pain in my left knee, ugh, and I'm only 46. I figure it is inevitable but I'd like to push it off as long…

I can understand not saying anything to someone you don't know well. In my case, the post was prompted by a visit with my nieces for birthday/graduation celebrations. I wore a new outfit so I know it wasn't a baggy clothes kinda thing, actually dropped a size already, and I haven't seen them since Christmas. They know it…

BTW, Congrats to all of you for losing!
-
Wow, congrats! Nice to know it takes a while for people to notice.

People I see regularly haven't noticed but neither have people I haven't seen for months. That was what surprised me, honestly. I didn't expect a parade but at least a "you've lost weight" kinda thing. I did take "before" pictures from my heaviest weight but so far haven't taken any others. I hate the camera, always have,…

I lost 5 lbs one week when a friend slept on my couch. The only change was her sleeping on the couch. So, my new best-selling diet is the "friend on the sofa" diet! Try it, it works! :D
-
I agree @DawnUrbanski, it is for me and not anyone else. I'm just thinking I need new friends if they haven't noticed yet :D But, it would be nice for some recognition from someone!

Someone flagged this post but I have to say, this is brilliance.

Sorry, not Scottish, but I do appreciate a man in a kilt :p

Today must be bad workout day. My swim was more like a drowning rat, pathetic! I've been all stabby about it, too. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Here's a thought: How about making the baby daddies responsible for all the babies they father instead of taxpayers and leaving it solely on the mom.

I second this hot lemon honey remedy (haven't tried the honey ginger but will next time!). I also recommend elderberry syrup. That pretty much knocks any cold/flu bug out pretty quick.
