I can't. When I have wine it's always 1/2 the bottle so I limit wine to once a week. Yeah, yeah I know how much food I can eat for 300 calories but sometimes you just need your wine! :)

Oh good, that's the one I looked up and saved my meal under.

So.... If I make baked potato in my crock pot with no intention of eating the skin I still weigh the entire potato raw instead of the flesh after cooking????

Good question! I'm at 122 lbs right now and I want my range to be 115-120. I will reach 120 in the next 2 weeks so I'm guessing the best thing is to just eat a little under maintenance until we get to the bottom of our range. The hard part will be figuring out our true maintaince calories. I sure hope trend weight is…

Thank you @BarbieAS!

We eat the same dinners every week on a set schedule. It makes grocery shopping super easy. With that said, I hate cooking so my meals are all quick and easy: Monday- Chicken Burritos Tuesday- Eggs for dinner night Wednesday- Tostadas Thursday- Bean pasta and garlic bread Friday- Snacks for dinner night (nuts, cheese,…

I'm the same height as you and started at about your same weight/same size. I'm now 122 lbs and still am not a size 4. Yo yo dieting really screwed me. I'm a tight size 6 :( I was a size 8 when I was 130 lbs but I think it was tight.

The same thing happens to me daily because I pre-log my entire week and then make changes depending on what I feel like eating, or if I put 70 grams of yogurt on the scale instead of 50 like I originally logged. I can't delete it sometimes because instead of Fitbit adding a duplicate entry for dinner it will just have some…

I ordered the black bean spaghetti off Amazon and felt the serving size was very generous. The other pasta I ordered is made from lentils (rotini and penne) and I only eat 57 grams of it to stay in the 200 calorie range, and it's a small portion but I bulk it up with vegetables. The actual serving size on the box is around…

Thank you for the replies :)

I hate cooking so I agree with everyone who recommended a crock pot. I can put chicken and salsa in the pot and it is done when I get home from work. You can make burritos, tacos, put over microwave instant rice etc... I also use my toaster oven a lot to make pizza on pita bread. I only use the oven to bake corn tortillas…

Thank you to those who responded. I do not have any problems losing weight, but now that I am smaller and burn less calories I am more concerned with the accuracy of BMR/TDEE calculators and devices such as Fitbit because those numbers are accurate for most people but not all. I know everyone is different and determining…

Thank you.

It happens to me too because I have both set to a 1 lb a week loss but MFP won't let you go under 1,200 net calories so MFP will show calories remaining but Fitbit will show I'm over based on needing to meet 500 calories less than I burn for 1 lb a week.

Yes, I actually tested this out recently and my charge HR gave me 300 steps for a 30 minute drive. I'll probably take it off next time. I think it must be because you move your feet from the gas to the break so it thinks you are taking steps.

I agree with what everyone said. Take your medication properly, weigh and log your food and if possible get an activity tracker to determine your calories out. I had blood work in early August 2015 that came back hypothyroid and didn't get in to see a doctor for medication until the end of October, but I still started…

I'm 5'4" 125.5 (trend weight) actual weight this morning 123.7. I just bought a pair of size 6 US jeans from American Eagle. My measurements on April 30th was 31-28-35.5 that was the last time I checked.

Thanks! Weight loss and weight maintenance sure is complex even with a Fitbit.
-
Hmmmm I wonder if since I went down a inch in my height if the HR based activities are more or less accurate now. I assumed more accurate since I've heard the Fitbit estimates high. I use workout mode on my charge HR for boot camp class (weights and cardio but very few steps, usually 1,000) and for elliptical and walking…

Thank you everyone who provided input on the Blaze. I did figure the larger screen would be an adjustment when sleeping and I didn't even think about it getting caught on clothing. I love my charge hr so I've got a lot to think about.

Thank you! LOL about the cat. 1 have one cat that sleeps on my pillow with me right in my face.

Yes, mine is set to 5'3" and I'm really 5'4". This way I get a BMR in the 1,200's which matches the online calculators for my weight, height, and estimated body fat.
-
That's great you found what works for you. I guess I'm lucky because I create our dinner schedule and have us eating the same things each week so it's easy for me to pre-log an entire week.
-
Welcome to MFP! I'm also 38 years old, 5'4" and hypothyroid. I started on August 30,2015 and I'm down 39 lbs. Right now I get 1,200 net calories for 0.6 lbs a week and I eat anywhere between 1,100-1,300 calories a day. One day a week I usually eat at surplus (use my exercise calories) but I'm in a 4 week weight loss…

Turn off quick view in your settings. I had the same issue and couldn't figure out why it was happening. I looked it up and quick view turns the display on whenever you raise your hand. I turned it off and problem solved. For the OP, I have a charge HR. It has your stats on a display so you only need to sync it every…

I have an Ozeri and it measures grams, lbs, oz, lb oz, and ml. Although I was advised today to never use the ml function. I also got my Ozeri scale on Amazon.com

As everyone has said different things work for different people. I get 1,200 net calories for 0.6 lbs a week loss. What works for me is intermittent fasting. I eat from 11am until 7pm so I'm constantly eating and I also keep my protein and fat up. For example, today I've logged 1,198 calories. Before 11am black coffee with…

It happens to me all the time. I just delete the entries in Fitbit. It's annoying because it messes up my weekly calories in vs out report that fitbit sends.
-
I go to sleep right after dinner at 7:30pm because I wake up at 4am to workout so I fall asleep before I have a chance to get hungry. Also long term you can add more calories to maintain so you won't be hungry forever

This thread makes me sad LOL. Mexican food is my favorite and I'd rather cut calories 6 days a week and have a slower rate of weight loss so I can go out once a week and enjoy what I love. It gives me something to look forward to. If I had to give up bean and cheese burritos, cheese enchiladas, tacos, chips, salsa, or…
