I think it's due to lack of carbs the previous day for me. Yesterday I ate very little and low carb and I could not lift as much weight as usual this morning at the gym. It could also be because it was Monday at 5am, but who knows

Oh man do I love my wine! Every Saturday night I have a date with my Sauvignon Blanc. I sometimes use this wine glass to watch my calories, but most times I just budget for half the bottle :smile:

I use my quest bars as a protein on both high and low carb days. They only have about 3 net carbs and 20 g of protein so it's a tastier option for me vs eating a chicken breast.

I always just count the net carbs since the fiber slows the release of glucose into your system so your body doesn't treat the meal as high carb.

If it makes you feel better I'm not big on veggies either. Sometimes I even skip them (I know it's bad). I usually can do salsa, and I like veggies I don't have to chop like mushrooms since I'm lazy Lol!

Low carb day out to eat would be hard if you follow the plan to a tee. At first a salad seems like the best choice but without fat you would not be able to have anything by vinegar and lemon for dressing. Maybe there will be a meat and veggies dish at the restaurant? Thanks for posting the crock pot recipe!

Very true, I didn't notice I was getting so big until my pants didn't fit anymore. I am only 3 weeks in now so I've got a ways until the 3 month mark. Hopefully by Christmas I'll be in a smaller size.

Well at 17 days into my program I haven't noticed any changes in how my clothes fit. I will hang in there though. I know it takes time.

This has been a very informative post. My lab work showed a TSH level of 4.90 with a normal range T4 in August, with low vitamin D. I agree DB! I usually make the same meals over and over since they are quick and easy, but I'm looking forward to seeing if anyone else posts some quick and easy recipes I'm capable of cooking. I am not patient enough to cook elaborate meals.

True, all fats in excess will make you fat just like anything else. I also heard that if you eat too much fat not only is it higher in calories than carbs/protein but your body doesn't have to work as hard to store it since its fat.
