  • Same thing happens to me and I actually LOVE it because I hardly ever go off track now. It makes me feel just awful! :) Plus if people try to offer me stuff I don't eat, I just say it makes me sick, it usually shuts them up and I'm not lying!

  • I use it for homemade mayo! I think I buy NOW brand. It's a brown glass bottle with an orange label.

  • I've never heard of that brand, but since going keto I don't eat any prepackaged foods that claim to be low carb. They are often filled with junk my body doesn't need. I also find if I eat those type of foods (quest bars for example) I end up having cravings for terrible things that are NOT on plan for my WOE. For me,…
  • This is amazing! What a great read!
  • Quest bars are probably one of the "better" protein bars out there but they still contain fake sugar. Sucralose can stall weight loss. I used to eat them, but they gave me terrible cravings for carbage, so I had to stop eating them. I never crave junk since I stopped eating them and haven't had any moments of weakness and…
  • I cut out all sugar cold turkey. It was not easy, actually to be honest it was SUPER hard, like one of the hardest things I ever did. I haven't had sugar in over two months now and have never felt better! The first few weeks were GOD AWFUL, but so is sugar in my body. For me it was all about what was most important. Yes,…
  • @Miyak0‌ Have you ran your numbers in a keto calculator? It's a great resource to figure out macro ratios with the lifestyle one lives. Being that you are an active runner, you'll want to make sure you're getting enough protein but not too much that you're not in nutritional ketosis. Testing your ketones with the breath…
  • First, congratulations on losing 120 pounds already! That's a huge accomplishment!!! I'm on day 5 of my egg fast. It's the first one I've done and I have loved it. I am not tired of eggs, and still have had plenty of energy to workout. I found some recipes on a blog called I breathe I'm hungry that do different things with…
  • Mine eventually went away. I don't remember how long it lasted. Sometimes it comes back. I just brush my teeth a lot!
  • I've been losing weight pretty consistently the last two years. Started Keto June 2014 (wasn't consistant though) then January 2015 I decided to actually put in 100% effort. I was tired of feeling like crap after eating carbs and gaining nothing from it but weight! Anyway, Jan 2nd '15 I was 195.6. Today I was 179.0. So 16…
  • Sounds so good! I've seen it on Pinterest and other blogs too. Can't believe I haven't tried them yet! As soon as my egg fast is over, I've got a growing list of recipes to try! I'm not really tired of eggs yet, but I really miss some of my favorite foods!!
  • I've made it twice...drinkable the first time. Awful the 2nd. I threw mine away too!
  • Also, if you haven't read Keto Clarity, it's a great book! Very informative about the ketogenic diet. It's so much deeper than low carb, Hugh fat. Keeping your protein at a moderate level is just as important or you'll never get into nutritional ketosis.
  • Can you drink some heavy whipping cream? Lol...sounds nasty but I bet it would help. To answer your question...I was getting cravings and it was because I was eating "fake" sugar still. Once I divorced the quest bars and sugar free syrup in my BPC, all cravings (and headaches) went away!! And how much fat are you getting…
  • Yum! I'll have to try this. Thanks, Dan! I've used daikon radish in soup to replace to potato it called for. It was amazing! I peeled mine before I cut it up and added to soup. I was also thinking you could spread the daikon radish and it would almost be rice like.
  • fat, protein, carbs, and sugar per serving
  • You could "bread" fish with the pork rinds then pan fry in butter. I would use an egg to coat the fish, and I would also put it in the fridge for 30 minutes or so after you bread it, before you fry it. This will help bind the pork rinds onto the fish when it's frying. That would add a lot of good fat, plus the pork rinds…
  • y'all are some smart folks! :) I think sometimes my OCD gets to my head and I'm looking for perfection. Silly....I know. I've failed SO many times, I'm scared of it happening again.
  • haha! @kirkor thank you all!
  • @dyana84 check out the Keto boards on MFP. You'll find a lot of helpful and useful information. It should help you make an informed decision about making this your WOE. I'd also recommend the book Keto Clarity if you haven't read it yet. Good luck. I've never felt better emotionally, physically, and mentally since going…
  • word. couldn't have said it better myself!
  • Aww...thanks! :D It hasn't been easy, but nothing worth fighting for ever is!
  • @dawlfin318‌ My laptop has been acting a little strange since I downloaded the script to see my net carbs. It's an older MacBook so I just figured it was because it's old. Damn...I wish MPF would get with the program and add net carbs so we don't have to go thru all this trouble. Plus, it would be great to see on our…
  • I stay under 20 and like @gemberly‌ have never felt better!
  • They make each jar by hand in their kitchen so I know they do sell out at times. Their spring batch is supposed to be the best of the best so maybe hold out for that? I've had both the cultured and regular. I prefer the regular but like them both.
  • Bone broth!!
  • pork rinds, cheese, fat bombs, prosciutto with a pickle and cream cheese....
  • I wake up with those same feelings sometimes...like I'm gonna puke. :s It's a terrible feeling so I feel for you @hippygirl325‌ I need to write down the times I eat, go to bed, and when I wake up starving to see if I can figure out why. I think it's on mornings when I haven't met my macros the previous day.…
  • Try a different brand. They aren't all created equal! :)
  • I recommend trying OMGhee if making it seems like too much trouble or time consuming. It may be a little more expensive than the stuff you can pickup at your local Trader Joe's or such, but the flavor and smoothness is worth every dollar. Plus you're supporting a local business which is a always a fabulous thing. They make…
