Hi all! I'm late to the party as I've just gotten back to MFP after a long summer break free-for-all. But I'd love to join the September challenge for the remaining weeks! SW: 149 GW: 143 I'm thinking it's doable because I expect to drop my first few pounds fairly quickly due to water weight. I might see how the first week…

not sure why people are being mean and mocking someone who's asking for motivation and support in a board about motivation and support... don't lose hope, OP. you just have to find the right people on this site. it takes time to dig through the weeds. good for you for taking the first step!

I may have just missed it because I'm surprised no one has brought up water. are you remembering to drink a *kitten* ton of water all day? before, during, and after your meals?
-
it does sound like rest is what you need right now. I don't think you should feel guilty. you have enough to deal with. good luck to you <3 keep fighting

three stars today! 1. resisted boredom eating 2. stayed within calorie goal 3. got out of my warm bed to go off to the gym right now! *bonus point* for convincing my boyfriend to go workout with me ;)

Hi everyone! I'm 26, working to re-lose my last 8-9 pounds. working on 1 lb/week. love following the progress of friends here on MFP. feel free to add me! :)
-
hi everyone! I'd like to re-lose my last ten by Christmas. freakin holiday food though... it's gonna take some serious work! good luck all :)
-
you can do it! that sounds like a glorious ride ;) enjoy!

one cup of fat free cottage cheese with (yoplait) flavored yogurt gives me 31g of protein for only 250 calories. love those numbers! (plus i don't eat meat, so that's a great protein source for me!)

I'd love to have some more active friends on MFP. I'm 26, I've achieved my original goal weight (lost about 25 lbs) and am happy to lose a few more pounds and/or maintain. prob going to move my focus towards body recomp soon. please feel free to add me! (and please send a msg if you haven't posted here!) thanks :)

pretty sure most bacon bits brands (like McCormick) are actually vegan... LOL funny if he didn't realize that and was trying to be sneaky about eating meat!

a too-frequent response to my vegetarianism is "well, what do you eat then?!?" I mean, come on, people! I eat all the other food that isn't meat! :D

hmm i don't think it's possible (or right) for people to determine that you are unhealthy or underweight from the information you gave. BMI charts show that a healthy weight for 5'9 ranges down to 128 lbs. and there are plenty of flaws with those charts anyway.
-
not sure what kind of phone you have, but iPhones have the "numbers" app for a very basic spreadsheet. I went through the exact same thing as you and I installed all kinds of apps to find something simple and easy to use. then deleted them all when I realized I could just use "numbers." (if on android, maybe try…

I don't have a lot of experience with this (always had a scale), but I will share a couple of ideas since no one else has yet :) Use measuring cups/spoons to measure volume (until you can more accurately measure weight). There are often multiple entries for the same item in the MFP database. For example, measure out a…

interesting stuff. i have a feeling i will be able to relax about it a bit more as i become more experienced. i suppose for now i will watch the clock to be sure i don't rush it and listen to my body at the same time. thanks all :)
-
oh ya, that is what i have read, too. i am wondering if most people just listen to their body or actually time it. like, my routine says 2-3 minutes between. i'm wondering how strict i need to be on that time frame. (watching the clock?)
-
cool, thanks for the reply! I'm hearing that I don't have to stress too much about rest time (at least as much as I was). I guess I'll chill out then B)
-
so are you watching the clock and timing it? I'm not doing that program, so it's interesting to hear that you can choose your rest time as you go. thanks for the response :)
