I haven't had time to comment on everyone's posts, but I want to say thank you very much to everyone! I appreciate the kind words about my journey and I'm so happy if I have inspired or motivated anyone. :)

I think the only reason I stayed with it was because I saw results pretty quickly. After a few weeks I had lost 10 lbs and that kept me motivated to continue tracking. Good luck! When I would get frustrated, I just reminded myself that I'd come a long way and not to give up. :)

Yes, I agree! I've never been able to stick with exercising, but eating better and counting calories ended up being the trick for me. It's eye opening for sure!

Thank you! I agree - I have always failed when I tried just exercising to lose the weight. When I focused on calories and eating better, the weight came off quickly. I do plan to start exercising to tone up eventually. But it's the eating better that I know works for me. Thanks for reading my blog!

Thanks! I agree - I never imagined I'd have such great results just from this. I don't exercise at all so it really blew me away that counting calories is all I needed to do. Yes, I've been on 1200 calories the entire time. I'm still at 1200 right now because I'd like to lose 4 more and once I do that, I plan to increase the calories slowly and maintain. I don't plan to increase more than 1500 a day.

Thank you! Yes, diet alone. I honestly hate to exercise. I started by giving up sweets and pop. Only coffee for breakfast. Salad every day for lunch. Then measured my dinners. Measuring was key for me not to go over 1200 calories. I allowed myself sweets once in awhile and I'm a wine drinker - so I built that in too. Lol.…

I 5"4' and went from 192 to 129 (size 18 to size 6). Sometimes it's hard to believe it when I see myself, but I'm starting to be really happy with my new body. It's not easy, but it's worth it! Once you start and see results, it's very motivating! Picture in my profile
