Thank you for the advice and the visuals. I do have a food scale that's used each time. I am going to try Intermittent fasting for a few days to see if that helps, along with a longer/more workouts to see if I can bust through it.

I'm going through the same thing after losing 16 pounds in my first month. Now I'm stuck. Everything I'm reading says I need to shake up calories and especially ramp up my exercise in order for my body to not think we're okay at this level. I've heard to take a week off and eat whatever you want that week, and then start…

I do use a scale and measuring cups. But this week I haven't even lost half a pound.

Based off your screen name I'd say cut back on drinking alcohol ;-)

I'm not a fan of diet soda. I was drinking anywhere from 3-6 Cokes a day at 140 calories each. Serious Coke habit LOL. I quit cold turkey and had my last one Sunday morning and refused to buy anymore. If I get headaches or anything I'll go for coffee or tea since I can control the sugar I put it in. It's the sugar in…

I've recently read an article that says that not eating before a work-out will force your body to burn the fat and calories already you have. It says if you eat that you will burn off the fat in the food and not off your body. And it says that eating after while your body is working hard helps keep burning that food.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the feedback. I am very sensitive to heat/sun and humidity due to medications I take, so an outdoor bike ride in St. Louis this summer won't be happening unfortunately. I think I will ask if PF has a 7 day pass so I can see if I like it before I join. I definitely don't need the tanning…

If Darryl dies you WILL be able to hear me screaming from my house in St. Louis LOL.

I yelled out DAMMIT! when the van rolled into the lake. I was so mad! The hook-up last Sunday was pretty unexpected too!

Also, a friend has marbles in 2 jars. He takes the marbles and moves them over to signal the weight loss. This is motivation for him as well.

A friend just joked with me that I need a Coca-Cola token LOL. I normally just say Coke, but people may not get that I mean soda

I will have to respectively disagree. At my smallest, and unhealthiest, in adult life I was a size 14. It was gross looking and I looked like a drug addict. And to a lot of people a size 14 is still "huge." But for my bone structure, broad shoulders, wide hips, long legs a size 18 would be ideal for me.

I was able to get one through a discount at work. However, I barely wear it. I'm not a watch or bracelet person, so constantly having this on my wrist gets annoying honestly. But when I DO wear it, it is nice to see how many steps I take and challenge myself to do better. But my excitement for it goes up and down. I also…

I use the one here with MFP. I too have also checked other sites and some suggested a larger deficit for 1-1.5 lbs a week. Don't go too low at first, you'll experience even worse headaches and fogginess. I'd find an average number, or use the MFP number, and see how that works after a couple weeks  Good luck! We're…

I have used MFP before too and didn't really have connections the first time. Now it is nice to see people logging in their diary, and it keeps me on track too. Just last night I was lying in bed and I remembered I needed to Complete the Entry  Surround yourself with people on the same path with the same issues and…

Running isn't for everyone. There are plenty of medical reasons why people shouldn't run. If it is hurting then I would avoid it and keep up the walking and strength training. Just because you aren't able to run without pain doesn't mean you aren't working hard. And you definitely don't want to injure yourself. I can't run…
