Embarrassingly low goal, here: 25k. This is to prompt me to tear myself away from my Insanity and Bodyshred DVDs and hit the pavements at least once a week again, now that the spring has finally arrived in my coooooold country. I make every excuse under the sun not to be seen in my running gear, so hopefully this thread…

What exactly is explosiveness? I keep hearing this term in relation to a vast range of exercises and wonder why it's important. Specifically, I've been given plyo pushups to do and I hate the feeling- it's really jarring. Is there really any great benefit to these, explosiveness or otherwise, or might I just as well skip…

Did Bodyshred Workout 3 today. Quadtastic... but no quad stretch in the cool down! quote an odd workout... cardio way too easy, but many if the strength moves were really cardio- jumping lunges, squat hops. Not sure if I like it or not. Where are you at in the programme, OP?
-
Circuit training. Good luck! That is the DVD that started me on my way to being really fit. Occasionally do it for old time's sake and Level 2 can still kick my bum. Great workout DVD! And rainbowbow is right... why not start today? It's only 25 mins. :)

Not for purists, but fun workouts! Love them!
-
I have it and do workouts from it fairly often, but not go be beyond 3 &4 yet. Love the set, but addicted to Insanity Max 30 just now!
-
Oh... just saw your earlier message. I am a pear with legs like trunk trunks. You? :)
-
Fatigue is normal- Could be TOTM-related, or you could jyst be overstressing your body. Why don't have a day off? You have the rest of your life before you to get fit and lean... so take it slow and steady. Xx

Jumping lunges. So simple, such a killer.

I think he has some ok routines, but his stuff about Britney is just abhorrent.
-
No More Trouble Zones: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VfkuK3mMowM Great routine. It should give you some ideas.

Your can be heaps off if you're buying convenience food which promises an exact calorie number. They lie! I would not eat back any exercise calories. Biking won't do much if it's just commuting.

2lb over a month is great! 2lb a week is a tad ambitious. I'd try to stick to about 1400/1500 and add in some exercise (walking, Shred, Couch25k) for your heart health and general well-being.

Mine from a c-section. Nothing has really helped. I try not to worry about it.

Hiya. We are the same height and weight (5"7, hover around 70kg), but I'm 31. Glad you beat cancer- so young, my God, poor thing. I now do a couple of t25 workouts a week. I love them (especially Alpha Cardio... it isn't the hardest, but enjoyable) but am too flighty to stick with one programme. I don't see how you could…
-
I think I would be bored stiff. Are you sure you are working hard enough?
-
Not youtubers, but the Jillian Michaels BeFit ones- especially "Banish Fat Boost Metabolism" and "No More Trouble Zones" and the JNL Fusion ones (I love "Lower Body Fusion" and "Bicep Builder") that are on there for free are AMAZING. I saved them to my computer using keepvid.com and I work out to them all the time.

Totally different programmes. Inanity is high intensity cardio. You will lose weight, get the resting heart rate of an athlete and very possibly some joint pain and muscle loss. P90x can help you develop your all-over strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. It is still quite hard but a lot more doable.

Rippedin30 is great, esp. Levels 3 and 4. Her new BodyShred DVDs are similar, albeit tougher. 4 circuits seems about right, particularly if you are mixing her workouts in with other types of exercise. For pure cardio, Shaun T's T25 Focus vids are great. Could you possibly use something like that in conjunction with Killer…
-
I tried it but didn't go back to it.

I finally cracked it by doing variations. If you look at JNL's Bicep Builder vid on YouTube, she has four or five different types of pushup. I found I could do X pushups before I could do regular ones. Everyone is different! If you are hugely overweight, maybe you can't do pushups. But otherwise you probably can... you…

All that is true, but Jillian Michaels' BodyShred and also her way cheaper Six Week Six Pack videos always reduce my waist measurement even if nothing else changes much. Her exercises seem to pull everything in. That said, I don't carry much of my weight on my waist.
-
(T25 I always log as aerobics, dunno who Jackie is. )
-
Aerobics or circuit training. I always write notes to remind myself what I actually did (which videos, which weights, etc. ). And I set the calories burnt at 1 anyway, so it doesn't matter really how it is logged.
-
Normal fluctuations, love- dont feel disappointed. TOTM and exercise will both make you hold a bit of water. Keep at it. Sounds like you're doing fabulously!
-
It is just a tool to help you understand what you're eating. You won't need to do it for life, you know!
-
T25, Jillian Michaels BodyShred, JNL FUSION.

Mosley sold a lot of books with that junk diet. He is now selling the Blood Sugar Diet to stave off diabetes... two months of eating 800 calories every single day. Ridiculous.
