  • Unsweetened coconut milk or unsweetened nut milks like almond, cashew, etc. I know there are "faux cheeses" out there made of nut bases as well, even yogurt that is make from either coconut milk or nuts like almonds, but that's all I've got. Additionally, nutritional yeast is much revered in vegetarian and vegan circles…
  • Yes, let's hope your body isn't overly sensitive to the crappy maltitol they use to sweeten their products. My body doesn't like maltitol at all so I stay far, far away from it. Good luck!
  • Here's this one too @newmekellyc: https://www.ruled.me/salted-caramel-pork-rind-cereal/
  • @KnitOrMiss ...so I had a chance to check the info re Zipfizz. Unfortunately, it doesn't contain any boron. :( I do take vitamin D3 in the morning and the evening (morning for me is around noon ;) ). I'm a vampire so the sun and I are not friends!! I don't get much sunlight during the day because I burn so damned easily. I…
  • I usually pick up a large barrel of Utz brand at Costco 'cause it's cheaper to buy them bulk there as opposed to a single bag from a grocery store.
  • Always appreciate the learned advice from your mad research skills @KnitOrMiss! I do currently take Vitamin D3 (2000 i.u. twice daily - along with the full spectrum Vitamin K), and calcium though currently out of calcium though and could use some advice as to what kind and dosage amount to use where this is concerned - I…
  • Walden Farms Balsamic Vinaigrette salad dressing. One of their better of often questionable salad dressing flavors. https://www.waldenfarms.com/products/dressings.html They have 5 different Vinaigrette flavors: * Pear & White Balsalmic Vinaigrette (good but verging on too sweet after a while) * Honey Balsalmic Vinaigrette…
  • Although, I currently supplement Magnesium and Vitamin K (Potassium) among other things, for me it seems to be a Potassium issue (I think it's genetic based on other things I've observed and/or learned about both my mom, who is T2D and my sister, who doesn't eat low carb at all and yet still experiences mad leg/foot cramps…
  • Yep same...luckily never experienced keto flu myself, but then it is 100% avoidable as previously mentioned.
  • Nope, you only joined the thread (this discussion / conversation). You need to click on the link above in @psuLemon's post and then I think you can request to be added to that group.
  • Try 1/2 & 1/2 or cut the HWC with unsweetened nut milk.
  • Cheese sticks, pork rinds, nuts or seeds of most any kind, cut up vegetable sticks, any kind of nut or seed butter (some are now even sold in individual packets that you can just tear open and squeeze directly into your mouth), protein bars, jerky or meat sticks, protein bars, even individually wrapped dark chocolate if…

  • Protein chips with salsa. Quest Chips (very delicate and breakable). There are other kinds of protein chips out there too...I'm just not familiar with how they taste/carb counts, etc. And make sure that the salsa is low carb. Add sour cream and/or quac if you need some healthy fats...yum!

  • Yep, I too suspect you need to up your salt intake. Dissolve one bouillon cube in the appropriate amount of water and drink two (2) cubes twice daily.
  • @bametels ...you cannot taste the cayenne pepper because it's such a small amount and the sauce really does require that to come out tasting right!! I was very hesitant to add that ingredient myself, when I first tried this recipe but I'm so glad I did as it made the dish (seriously)!! So, if you don't tell you family…
  • The damned best low carb cranberry sauce ever. I usually make up two (2) double batched during Thanksgiving every year: http://ginnyslowcarbkitchen.blogspot.com/search?q=spiced+cranberry+sauce
  • Sorry Knit, can't really help you with this one. Seems to me all protein powder is pretty expensive these days. I usually get 1 large tub (2 pounds) for $39.99. Yeah, I know I could probably find cheaper protein powder, but it usually contains soy or other questionable ingredients that I'm not okay with so I stick with the…
  • MSG (free glutamates) actually occur naturally in several foods which are typically used to increase the savoriness of any given dish (mushrooms, cheese, tomatoes, potatoes, certain types of seafood, seaweed, kelp, soy, etc.). It's usually the man-made chemical version of MSG that sometimes causes people problems depending…
