Congratulations!!! You've done great!!

You can improve your strength and reduce fat to make the muscles look more "toned" but its been my experience that your not going to gain any muscle mass while doing allot of cardio. I would suggest running only two days a week and weight train 3 days a week if thats your goal and you dont want to give up running.

Welcome!!! Lots of good information and friendly folks on here

Wow!!! You look great! Congratulations

Thanks for all of the encouragement. It's coming off much slower now but it's still coming off
-

-
Thank you!!

I can't figure out how to edit the original post but I actually started this October 1st not Sptember

Do what ever excercises you enjoy doing. As far as losing weight goes it requires a calorie deficit, the excercise just supplements it.
-
The longest I've gone is a 22 day stretch without losing one pound, heck I even saw an increase a couple of times. Then suddenly, 5 pounds gone in a matter of days. If you stick to a modest calorie deficit, the weight will come off. Don't give up

Every day is a new day. Its ok to fail as long as you keep trying! Don't give up, you can do it.
-
Congratulations!! You look great!!!!1

Great job!!! Thanks for sharing!
-
You've done great!! keep up the good work
-
yep, what everybody else said. You wont get big from regular excercise but you will get stronger
-
I got too fat for my clothes and I refused to buy anything bigger than the 42 waist paints I was wearing.
-
Great job!! Congrats!!
-
Just keep at it. I was stuck at 230 since the begining of this month, finally 3 days ago it started coming off again.
-
Just to update, I've now lost a total of 42 pounds. I've hit a bit of a platea this month but it's finally started coming off again. I hope to reach my goal in about 5 more months.
-
My only regret is that I didn't plan an entire piece. Instead, I had a little work here and there and then had to try and tie it all in together.
-
Every body type is different and depends on how much muscle mass you carry. The body fat scales are very unreliable so I wouldn't put allot of faith in them. I can't give any good advice to answer your question other than to say your ideal weight is one that you are happy with
-
As a Military Veteran, I can confirm this!! :D Don't worry about 10 pounds, he'll be so happy to see you he won't notice anyway.
-
If you're like me you still like your snacks and sweets. You can still have them, you just need to plan for them and fit the calories into your daily goals. That means eating a smaller meal at lunch or dinner so you can have what you want.
-
Try taking baby steps, don't just try to change everything at once. Slowly over time decrease your calorie intake and increase your activity. I think you are trying to do to much at once and your brain and body arn't in sync.

Start by learning how to use the resources on this site and read previous post's by others who have gone down the same path you are on. It's all about making smarter choices but not depriving yourself of what you love. Forget the term diet and don't obsess over the numbers on the scale. If you eat less calories than you…
-
That's a great attitude to have!! Stay positive, stay focused and you will suceed!!
-
I agree, set small goals. Don't deprive yourself of what you love, just learn how to fit them into your daily routine. If it is that difficult for you, figure out how many calories you are eating in a day and slowly trim that back over time. Once you create a calorie deficit, you will lose weight.
-
Congratulations!!!
-
I absolutely refused to buy any larger pants and they were getting real tight. :D
-
Just track your calories and eat what you want (just less of it). You don't want to deprive yourself of what you love or you'll set yourself up for failure. It's simple math. Consume less calories than burn and you will loss weight. Just do it slow and steady and don't make unrealistic goals.
