33 lbs in two or three weeks is not going to happen and if it did, it would be extremely unhealthy. You didn't gain the 33 lbs in two or three weeks so don't torture yourself trying to get it off in two or three weeks. Why the rush?

I think you need to speak to a doctor about this.

The exercise calories that MFP gives are over inflated. 143 calories for just 15 minutes of pilates seems way too high to me. I think you need to keep in mind that all these calculators are just providing you estimates and aren't 100% accurate. So if you're not losing weight on the amount of calories that you've been…

If you went from a size 2 to a size 14, you were eating way more than 1400 calories/day. Were you weighing/logging your food when you were gaining weight? And starvation mode as you described it doesn't exist. If it did, anorexics and starving people in developing countries would be fat, not super skinny. The human body…

You can try banking calories during the week so you can have more calories to work with on the weekends. My boyfriend and I go to gatherings with friends and family just about every weekend and I got to my goal weight and have been maintaining for a year by banking calories. Also keeping in mind that I don't have to eat…

I'm in maintenance but when I was losing weight, I ate about 1200-1300 calories per day and was rarely hungry. I did it by cutting down on high calorie desserts like apple pie which I used to eat quite often and I stopped drinking my calories. I also had foods like oatmeal, soups (usually the non-cream based ones),…

I bank calories so I'd just leave them for another day.

You don't have to eat nuts. You can get healthy fats in other foods. I like nuts but I don't find them to be very filling so I don't eat them very often and usually only with other foods like yogurt or fruit.

I start on Monday and bank calories for the weekend. Seems to be working well for me.

Eating less than 2000 calories doesn't automatically mean that you're eating at a deficit. If someone is maintaining their weight on less than 2000 calories per day then they're not in a caloric deficit. If they were they would be losing weight not maintaining it. The 2000 calorie guideline is an estimate based on the…
