Short walks to get blood flowing, gentle exercise. Look into recolonising gut flora after antibiotics for your immune health, fatigue and general recovery. There is still probably inflammation from the kidney infection. Can leave you very exhausted. You will start to feel better

I could run when I was bigger. Now I'm smaller, my knee is no good anymore, not allowed to run

Unless you have a fitbit charge HR, I'm not sure about those cause they have a heart rate monitor which could track activities/calories burned a bit better, I assume

You have to search for the exercise in MFP and add it. It'll have a little "start" time section if you've linked your fitbit to MFP and you enter what time you started working out, and enter how long it was for as usual. Then that will sync to your fitbit dashboard and add all the calories. But the fitbit itself tracks…

It might have tracked a lot of steps from that. But if you were doing more things with your arms, or really working up a sweat, you could log it as manual exercise. You just add the exercise on My Fitness Pal and enter what time you started and how long for, and it will over ride your fitbit's activity for that time frame.…

Is calorie estimation automatic? Is that what my fitbit's doing? Or do you have to turn that function on? I'm assuming at the moment my fitbit is just showing my BMR if I haven't synced it yet... then is adding any extra calories burned walking/running when I sync it... is that right? If I'm lightly active and select…

I returned the flex because it was so so uncomfortable on my wrist. Didn't matter if I wore the large or small. I have pretty small wrists. It felt like the fitbit was digging into my bones all the time. Then if I loosened it, it felt like it was dangling and getting in the way. Plus I have to wear latex gloves at work and…

I do plan on upgrading my phone but probably won't for a few weeks. It seems to be working okay as I am more prone to overeating at night, so I sync it in the afternoon to know how much I should eat for dinner. But I do weird work hours. When it's time to do my night shifts and sleepover shifts at work, it's going to be…

My fitbit adjustment seems fairly immediate if I've synced the fitbit. I'm not in the US so maybe it affects me differently here... or like you said, seems to be okay for some users sometimes and not others. Hopefully they sort it out and we can all use it properly! I mean they do boast about it being able to link to MFP…

You could try the FitBit One? I got the flex and returned it simply because it was so uncomfortable on my wrist, I'd never wear it. Plus I have to wear latex gloves at work all the time and it would force the glove open at the wrist and not cover it properly. I swapped it for the One because it just clips onto your bra or…

Yeah, sedentary is not completely sedentary. A PAL of 1.4 could be bed-bound and then next step up would still be sedentary but not extremely sedentary, like 1.6... an office worker getting little to no exercise. I'm assuming MFP bases its 'sedentary' on a PAL of about 1.6 which is still a bit of walking around and…

Yeah, I don't mind underestimating. If I'm carrying something for a while on my walk, I don't log it manually, I figure losing more weight or getting fitter than anticipated can't be a bad thing

That sucks... I've had mine a few days and it syncs whenever I use the dongle, since I don't have a phone that's compatible yet. Does it just not sync at all to MFP?

I agree with wearing cheaper rings while your weight's changing or wearing the snuggie things (though I've never used them, do they stay in place? sounds like a good idea though and I kknow people wear them who have metal allergies too) I'm not in the US but my engagement and wedding ring were bought in the US by my…

Ohh I thought you should log everything in MFP, including exercise. What's the benefit in doing it in fitbit instead? I'm not sure whether to enable negative adjustments because I don't have a phone that's compatible yet so I can only sync late in the day with the dongle. Also there are some days and times where I can't…

Sorry, " Is what shows up in MFP as "FitBit adjustment" the calories you burned solely from steps or activity?" meant " Is what shows up in MFP as "FitBit adjustment" the calories you burned solely from steps/activity OR also from BMR as well", worded it weird! MFP has been telling me to eat like 1400cal a day, and it only…
