Ok. As long as your body is using more calories than you're eating, you'll lose weight. If you also want to be healthy, don't try to lose more than 2 lbs per week. If you're losing .66 lbs/wk, you're in a slight deficit. If you told MFP you want to lose more than that, you're eating more than you think you are, and would…

To help us help you: How long have you been eating that amount? How much weight are you actually losing per week? How much did you tell MFP you want to lose each week? How much do you want to lose in total?
-
Yeah, I sometimes prepare ingredients ahead of time (chop veggies, pre-cook ground beef, etc.), but I'm not into all the boxes. I do plan menus a week at a time, but not the actual food.

If you'd provide some details, perhaps someone could help. Height Current weight Goal weight Weekly weight loss goal Calories MFP is giving you Calories other sites are giving you

9/9 3.1m easy Total: 18.5 of 65 miles 2017 Goal: Beat 20-yr-old PR (29:32) *Oct: Apple Harvest 5k *Nov: Movember 5k *Dec: Mitten Run 5k Another unfamiliar route today. Mostly suburbs, with a nice surprise at the turn-around point.

Good luck this morning! Don't forget to post your race report after. :)

I was shopping for a couple of pieces of clothing yesterday, and had to ask the lady working there to help me find them. Her: "What size are you? A 9/10?" Me: "Ha ha ha ha!! ... No." I'm a 12/14, but started as a 22/24. The idea that someone would guess I'm that small is just nuts. But the reality is that I'm not that far…

9/8 3.5m intervals (7x.25m) Total: 15.5 of 65 miles 2017 Goal: Beat 20-yr-old PR (29:32) *Oct: Apple Harvest 5k *Nov: Movember 5k *Dec: Mitten Run 5k It was actually quite chilly this morning, so I ate a cheesy bagel, drank coffee, and worked for a while before heading out. Ran out the front door where we’re staying this…

This is my situation. I was sure I wanted a reduction, but 65 lbs later, I've realized that just a lift will get me where I want to be. I've gone from 44G to 36DD, and a some of that is just excess skin. My plan is to get to goal (14 more lbs) then hang out at maintenance for 2 years before I take action. I want to be well…

Surely someone's made a tshirt with that written on it. :D

My racing strategy is based on this principle: Just keep doing it until I'm the last one standing. Eventually, I'll get to that podium, dammit!

Ran 3 this morning on an unfamiliar route. Was supposed to be "easy." Ended up being "hills." Oy.

9/6 rest 9/7 5K easy/hills Total: 12 of 65 miles 2017 Race Goal: Beat 20-yr-old PR (29:32) *Oct: Apple Harvest 5k *Nov: Movember 5k *Dec: Mitten Run 5k I'm on a business trip and am not very familiar with my surroundings. Headed off this morning in what seemed like a good direction for an easy run. 10 minutes later — oh my…

Maybe taking it in smaller steps will make it feel less daunting? I split my desire to get healthier into two parts: * First, lose weight by just eating less. I ate the same things I always ate, just less of it. Instead of two pieces of toast, I'd have just one. Instead of a large baked potato, a small one. I pre-logged an…

I can't afford (or rather, haven't prioritized the purchase) of a C2 either, but I wouldn't get anything else. So I belong to a gym that has one. I've tried other brands and I dislike them. Eventually, I'll probably buy a used one. For now, if I'm snowed in or the gym is closed, I just work out on my bike trainer (a…

I work away from our main office and haven't been back since last year. I arrived yesterday for a visit. I was pacing around my office on the phone, and one of the women I'm friendly with stopped by. Her jaw actually dropped, and then she gave me a huge smile and pantomimed a sexy hourglass shape with her hands. I laughed…

I'm 5'10" and started at 248. I have three goals. I want to get to whichever weight attained all three. * Reach an "acceptable" body fat percentage: <30. Got there at 185. * Reach a healthy waist/height ratio (1/2): 35". Got there at 183. * Reach the top of the healthy BMI range: 24.9. Still have 11 lbs to go. Then I added…

Agreed. I'm sure I've got 10 seconds of adrenaline available. :)

Ran a 5k test this morning. Goal race pace for October is 29:32. Ran it in 29:42 this morning. Getting pretty close!!
-
9/3 & 4: rest 9/5: 5k test = 29:42 Total: 9 of 65 miles 2017 Goal: Beat 20-yr-old PR (29:32) *Oct: Apple Harvest 5k *Nov: Movember 5k *Dec: Mitten Run 5k I need to shave off 10 more seconds in just under a month to reach my goal. I started off way too fast and then faded. Splits were 9:20, 9:36, 9:46. Will practice pacing.

I still have my childhood copy of it. The cover fell off many years ago, so pre-teen me taped a piece of cardboard to the front, and drew a Pegasus on it.

Rest day today in prep for a 5K time trial tomorrow. We're on a road trip to our old home town and dinner is going to be at our favorite Mexican place. Fingers crossed it doesn't come back to haunt me in the morning!

5k training plan says "rest," which I interpreted as, "Don't run." Rowed 30 minutes (5k+ meters).

You don't need motivation. You need to build a habit. Put the scale in the middle of your kitchen counter so you'll see it. Make some sort of method to keep track of your streak. How many meals in a row can you weigh your food? If you miss a meal, you start over from zero.

My shoulders are broad and I'm ok with it. I'm looking forward to narrower hips.

Easy-ish 3 this morning. Got a little carried away toward the end there. But it was a lovely cool morning and I couldn't help myself. Going on a week-long business trip on Monday, culminating with an employee's wedding. I'm spending much more time planning food and workouts than I am on the business prep. Oh well.…

I'm seriously considering an apple pie cleanse. Even more seriously, we need to come up with a good suggestion for well-intentioned people like our friend here who want to "jumpstart." Like "5 Steps in 5 Days with MFP!" People want to Do Something so badly, and just logging that first meal isn't momentous enough. It's…

I forgot about Duluth Trading! Yes! Excellent choice. The clothes are well-made and very functional. Good attention to detail.

First, take a deep breath. PCOS is a manageable condition, if not a curable one. I conceived two kids after getting down out of the obese range (like, at the exact BMI, to the pound), so I'd suggest that you focus on weight loss. Calorie counting is king. Women with PCOS may burn fewer calories than the calculators expect,…

I'm totally on board with the fall weather as well. 59F and sunny this morning. Beautiful. I'm sad that I'm going south on a business trip on Monday and I'll be back in the heat again. :(
